This restaurant was, sadly, the worst meal I had in Spain over the 9 days we visited. I’m rating it as average instead of poor because the entrees were good, and the service was good. But the main course left much to be desired. I...More

After reading all the great reviews was expecting a good meal. Maybe everyone else's taste is different to mine but the salad was very average, the meat quite bland and the French fries very oily. The best thing was the desert ! At €15 for...More

We’re so glad a friend recommended this restaurant. It’s off the beaten path from the hustle and bustle of the Plaza Mayor area where we stayed. The area we walked to get there is a bit run down, but the restaurant is well worth finding....More

There is nothing fancy about Casa 9. However, they simply deliver a quality dining experience in every way. The staff is very helpful in recommending food, wine, and proper portions. This place is definitely worth the effort of getting a reservation and getting there.

Tasty and hearty food, well presented and good menu overall. Good service, had a nice evening here. Starters were huge, but I guess that's nice.

Some recent reviews had been a bit off putting, however, our meals were fantastic. Ham croquettes and fried squid and fish starters were delicious, and the tomatoes, so full of flavour! Entrecôte steak and farm chicken for main course, both so tasty. Fairly decent house...More

From the moment we walked in, we knew this was going to be an extraordinary dining experience. Casa 9 is a small establishment (reservations a must), located on a back street not very far from Gran Via. Mario greeted us like family and invited us...More

Read all the reviews for this place so made a reservation and came with my boyfriend. It started off good, with the delicious warm bread and olives, then we had the croquettes and they were quite good as well. They only have house wine so...More

The reviews online looked all amazing but unfortunately this has been a disappointing meal for me. While the staff is exceptionally friendly, the food was average and frankly overpriced for Madrid standards.

Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where
the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and
people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses

You should contact the restaurant, but party of 16 seems quite a lot for this small place

Cross Gran Vía onto Calle Hortaleza look for the Casino (across from the huge Adidas store), then it's a right hand turn into a side street called Calle Reina. Enjoy!
