Went in one evening as a part of a tapas bar crawl and glad we did. The waiter/barman spoke perfect English (opposed to my terrible Spanish) and recommended a few dishes to us. Will definitely pop back in if back in Madrid.

Late (well for English standards) dinner. Ordered 10 or so tapas and bill (with a few cocktails) was sub 60 euros so good value for service and quality. Very good English speaking server looked after us well. Favourites were pate, teriyaki sirloin and crispy chicken.

I went twice, first time was great. The food was awesome, but second time the same food tasted different. I saw that the chef that served us first time wasn’t there. the Tartar de Bonito, is the best.

There are no words to describe this place, other than it is incredibly delicious! It was so nice to duck into this Taberna for a bite to eat. I read previous reviews on TripAdvisor and decided to stop by one early evening before the major...More

At first we thought it looked so simple, but when the waitress (really beautiful girl) started serving the Chatos(tapas look alike), the perspective changed, the cuisine is great and the service is very good!!! I'll return a few more times before i go!!!

Tapas are the best for American foodies because you get such a great selection and sampling of Spanish cuisine. The food was fresh and flavorful. Wasn't inexpensive, but was definitely worth it! Also, location is great and central even though the place itself is cozy...More

We had a light dinner of wine, cheese, iberico ham, chicken, etc. We were looking for something easy and convenient and were not anticipating how good the food would be. The staff was very friendly. We appreciated that we were able to get right into...More

Good service and good food, the only thing that I didn't like it's the way they take out the trash in front all the customers, it's not nice

Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once
home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de
Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The
neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich
heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes
from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to
them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas
receives a fair amount of spillover from the center —

Nice tavern located on the most central and commercial zone of Madrid (walking distance to la Puerta del Sol and Plaza de Santa Ana). Ideal to make a stop along the way to taste its tapas or to have dinner sitting at one of its small rooms. Very varied menu of Spanish portions and bite-sized appetizers. Kind employees. Kitchen open to the public for directly dealing with the chef. Sangría. Cocktails.
