another one of these restaurants that lure you in with offers on boards in the street outside but on being seated you discover that the offers are only available if you sit at the bar. we were seated at the rear and almost immediately the waiter was pouring cava that we didnt ask for and filling with table with unrequested... we were very impressed with this Restaurant the service was excellent and our waitress was very pleasant. My husband enjoyed a good rib-eye steak and I had Chicken which was very tasty. The little free extras were appreciated Pumpkin Soup served in a small glass and a dip with small croutons. After our main meal you were given a lemon... More

I see reviews here complaining about the pasta or the fish... Why complain -- this is a serious BEEF restaurant. The steaks are GOOD. The service is good. Most of the staff do have some issues with English but this was solved with a mix of French and Italian. However despite the difficulty the staff was eager to please. First... More

This restaurant is focused on Argentinian barbecue but we went there to get a pasta, we have been there during our latter trip to Spain. Although the pasta was nice enough , I still recommend to have the barbecue as they are really good on preparing a juice meat the way Argentinians usually do. Besides our try, all the meal... More

Busy restaurant, service a tad rushed and unfriendly as with many Spanish restaurants. Four of us had various starters, mains and desserts. All good quality and decent enough wine. Bill of 150€ so not ridiculously priced. Will definitely return for quality of food alone. Good atmosphere also.

Nice pedestrian are, conveniently located. The restaurant offers a small selection of high quality meat mains, prepared to perfection. Portions are generous and great taste. The service was efficient but stressed in the small space and quite abrupt. This was compensated by good desserts, incl some on the house sweets. Overall, good place to have quality dining.

We had the Menu of the Day at dinner and sat at the counter....which was fine. There are 3 choices of the set menu that you can choose, which was nice. The amount and quality of food was excellent. I ordered from the 12 euro menu and my friend ordered from the 10 euro one. The only difference was that... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
