This restaurant was busy but we just stopped here for a drink to take a break from walking and the warm air. We had a few drinks each and it was nice to see such a pretty and old restaurant. That said, it's crowded and...More

We lived the look of this place but the food really let it down. We ordered off the set menu, my starter was scrambled egg with king prawns and there were no prawns to be found. It was really salty and I couldn't eat it....More

A restaurant with decor that makes it appear a lot older than it really is. A dark wooden vaulted ceiling, cosey alcoves for the diners and a pleasent open bar area. A very nice enviroment for drinks and tapas. Our first visit was confined to...More

The lunch menu is amazing value at €12.30 for 3 courses and a carafe of wine. Very delicious food and great atmosphere.

Another of these lovely bars / restaurants with a genuine feeling. Worthwhile to pop in, even if it's only to have a very good coffee.

Pretty little gem. Discovered by accident. Sat at the bar fully expecting a tourist trap but was shocked by the 'setas de cardo' mushroom dish which was fantastic.

This place takes your attention with its unique decoration, inspired in a medieval cathedral. Although it may seem an expensive place, it is very affordable (average prices). We order a couple dishes to share and wines. Nothing special though but it is the kind of...More

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street
performers, colorful lights, window shopping,
restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and
churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a
collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide
pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so
it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as
