Go there every time when I am in Madrid and always happy. Excellent value for money. Take a few media portions and enjoy. Arroz the marisco was great as well as the steak, pimentos padron and merluza. Can’t get it better for this price.

If you are in Madrid's downtown or in between it and the Prado Museum, don't miss going to this tavern on Huertas street. The Pulpo a la Gallega (octopus a la Gallega) is precious here. It was the only dish I ordered, but it was...More

I have had the pleasure of being able to visit once again the beautiful Spain; and they had recommended me to go through this place, which highlighted the excellent service and the rich food that can be found.

The food is pretty good. Not great, but hearty and tasty. On the other hand, the service is surly, the seating abysmal (tiny low wooden stools) and the service format - metal plates - a bit rubbish. Really not worth it.

This is a wonderful tiny restaurant in Calle de Jesus. The cuisine is Northern Spain, excellent octopus, Pimientos de Padron (green peppers), cod, etc. They offer great red wines. This is a tiny restaurant, and very popular.

Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once
home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de
Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The
neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich
heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes
from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to
them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas
receives a fair amount of spillover from the center —
