I had a burrata salad and a merluza and I can tell they were very tasty! Desserts are very good too. I had an apple pie. Wine selection is good as well. Good service! I truly recommend Naia!

We ate here midweek and arrived around 20.30 without booking. We were the first in the restaurant but it filled up from then. We were having a raw food moment and so ate steak tartare and tuna tartare. Both were extremely fresh. We were asked about the level of spicing we wanted and asked for hot. The salsa with the... We had already had lunch several times on Naia's terrace on the cosy Plaza de la Paja and had always been more than satisfied. Last Saturday, a dull, cold and rainy day, was our first visit to their dining-room. A very bright room, lots of mirrors, tables in light wood, quite modern to Spanish standards, yet with a very cosy,... More

I am surprised by some of the unfavorable reviews of this restaurant. We had an excellent experience. We tried the salmon and the bacalao. Both were delicious. The dishes were elegantly presented, with beautiful finishing touches. Everything was prepared exactly as described. The service was excellent. We felt if was one of the best meals we have had in Madrid... More

We visited NAIA on a Friday evening for dinner. From start to finish it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is set in a peaceful square that is the heart of old Madrid, yet under ten minutes walk from the tourist traps of Plaza Mayor. The decor is stylish, modern and chic. Every course we had was superb, from the... More

Although the place is very nice when we arrived, around 9pm we were the first and only ones. Not a good signal. When we left only a table of two joined us. They have no idea how to prepare good food. I had the octopus and was very poor with a burned rice with the ashes as some fashionable touch... More

This was the fist time ever we were turned down by a waiter (barely speaking English) just because we wanted to order "only coffee". Well, they can be sure we will not order anything else ever and tell so to our friends as well.

If you want traditional Spanish, LARGE portions and a place to go with the kids...don't come here! NAIA is a relaxing break from the normal here in Madrid. The night we visited at about 9:00pm, they werent busy yet. The 2 waitresses working the room were polite and knowledgeable of the menu and wine list...spoke English as well. Service well... More

Staying in La Latina

Neighbourhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighbourhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
