We were expecting to eat at Kitchen Stories (we did not see the other reviews before), but this restaurant goes under a new Spanish name now. We had an 'ok' diner outside for a reasonable price, but not very special. Staff was friendly and we...More

Okay, I just read the review below this one, so that explains A LOT! We went here with 35 people or so because Globus arranged it for our tour. This was - by a long shot - the WORST meal ever! Sat down at 6:30...More

This restaurant is no longer KITCHEN STORIES. The ownership has changed hands from the British ownership to Spanish owners - the menu has changed from a diverse and fantastic international cuisine to "typicallly Spanish" fare that you can get in a thousand other places in...More

Restaurante Kitchen Stories had good food. Three of us liked the meals (risottos and burgers), but I was a little disappointed with my duck-portion. We sat out on the terrace. They charged extra 15% for that. We ordered a bottle of water as well. It...More

We sold this restaurant in July 2013. The new owners plan to convert the restaurant to a typical Spanish restaurant, as found in the area.

We were hoping that some of the small restaurants on this little street just down the steep stairs from Plaza Mayor would not be tourist traps. We picked this one based on reviews (although most of the places on that street have similar reviews) and...More

This is the first time I've eaten duck cannelloni, and I have to say it was ally good. The fillet hake with tomato confit and mushroom pastry with truffle oil was by good too. However, their version of tiramisu for us was a miss. Too...More

We had high hopes looking at other reviews and was very excited to try Kitchen Stories even booking before we went to Madrid. The food was good (childrens menu not great). There was not much atmosphere and there was a long wait in between courses....More

performers, colorful lights, window shopping,
restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and
churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a
collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide
pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so
