The sushi was just ok, the sashimi was fresh but everything else was nothing special, just standard sushi you get anywhere decent. I live in london, so maybe I have high standards and was expecting something like Nobu or Zuma but... More

We were lucky enough to find a last minute reservation for two on December 30th. The restaurant was recommended by the concierge at our hotel, and we were told it was the best sushi restaurant in town, proudly having a two Michelin stars rating. We ordered several dishes, including Langostinos con Copos, Usuzukuri Toro, Salmon sashimi, Cangrejo Futomaki, as well... More

Kabuki is quite an experience. It is run by an spanish chef and not of japanese descent!!! Intriguing!!! Besides being top quality, their dishes are most original, If one wants to be surprised, this is the place. Japanese techniques, japanese dishes with an spanish tweak!

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
