An excellent dining experience, particularly considering the waiter's did their best to make our dining experience as best they could in a foreign language. In the top 3 places I've eaten in the world for sure.

Chef María Marte has successfully upheld the classic quality and 2 star rating of Club Allard. Situated in a converted palace "Casa Gallardo" the restaurant exudes pure elegance. All the dishes were beautifully presented and each bursting with unique flavours. A combination of fun and playful dishes and classic. Of course wine is a must and they have a large... More

El Club Allard was one of three 2 star Michelin restaurants we had the pleasure of visiting in Madrid. Situated in a corner historic building you pass through the lobby with security guard and are escorted to your table. The restaurant consists of several rooms with high ceilings and simple decor. There is a choice of menus and we opted... More

Went to Club Allard for my wife's birthday as part of a 5 day trip to Madrid. This was the culinary highlight! The 2 Michelin stars are fully deserved and the 10 course tasting menu was full of great cooking and some surprises - a cup cake that turns out to be a savoury with a quails egg inside; a... More

El Club Allard is one of those restaurants where you cherish every bite as your palate is tantalised with a depth of flavours and textures. The dishes are creative, wholesome, yet familiar, and presented in an aesthetically pleasing manner, with some dishes like a piece of art on a plate. Though we had trouble finding the entrance, as there is... More

The presentation of the food was the most unique I have ever witnessed as a dining experience. Every meal was 'dancing' or 'disguised' as something special and tasteful, service was excellent and chef personally greeted us to discuss each entree.

The restaurant is located on the upper ground floor of what looks like a residential building to me, which it took us a little while to figure out its precise location when we saw other fellow diners entering and a security guard at the entrance of the building. The restaurant feel very airy due to its high ceiling and smartly... More

My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary dinner at the restaurant and thought it was outstanding. We arrived promptly at 9PM (and yes it is easy to miss) and were directed to the restaurant itself. The staff were excellent throughout the evening, apart from the sommelier and maitre d'hotel none of the waiters spoke much if any English, but... More

On our (my wife and me) short visit to Madrid this was the only Michelin stared restaurant we visited. We read positive recommendations and decided to try it. The experience was very good. The place is very nice, the service was excellent and the food was good. We took the 10 causes menu and as we don't consume meat that... More

Staying in Arguelles

Neighbourhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
