We've been here many times on our frequent visits to Girona. Always gone inside and never eaten here, but always greatly enjoyed the atmosphere, good choice of drinks, and the very friendly and efficient staff. Only criticism would be the washrooms which are really in need of an upgrade - quite grotty on occasion.

Stopped in for a beer and something to eat and and found the whole experience to be very average. The strip of restaurants where its situated seems to be just very touristy and there are much better places in some of the small streets that surround it.On the plus side it stays open later that a lot of its neighbors.

Came here looking for sport on tv, the show most and in particular show Irish GAA games which is what I came for. The service is very good. Food is above average, nothing gourmet but it does the job. Sandwiches, burgers, fish & chips etc. Not a huge selection of beers on tap but a good selection of bottled beer.

Irish bar in Girona. Service a bit slow but food was nice and more European than most places around. Atmosphere was very good and location is excellent. Loved the Guinness hot pot ..

We ended up at the pub both nights we were in girona.. being football season we wanted to watch the games and there seems to be a lack of places showing football games in girona. This place was packed but service was still great. Fun place!

Over charged on the bill, when we asked about it the rude bloke behind the bar just said call the police. Ended up paying for it to avoid the hassle. Will not go back

While we welcome justifiable criticism I'm afraid I must challenge the accuracy of this review. I was the person who looked after this party during the course of the five/six hours they enjoyed the hospitality of McKiernans and recall the incident very well. Some of the party left before the rest and provided money for their share of the drinks.... More

We spotted McKiernans while strolling down the Rambla one evening. We hesitated because of the 'Irish bar' label but went in and had a good experience with a couple of drinks and a few sharing plates of food. Staff are very pleasant an attentive.

Nice food and drink and reasonable cost. Staff friendly and competent. We had the fish and chips and the burger... Filling and tasty. Comfortable setting and reasonable ambiance. Toilets could do with a little TLC which should not be the case as facilities in the city are usually good. Staff are good but when they are on their break, eating... More

We sat outside, when we were approached by the waiter we said hello and he looked surprised! He told us about the menu and walked away then a waitress came to our table and asked us, "what do you want!" We told her what we wanted to have and when we asked her what kind of beer they have, she... More

We tried to visit a local establishment with Spanish food and tapas but many weren't yet open. This worked perfectly. The food isn't the healthiest, but so good. I ordered a baguette with tuna and onion which was delicious. My wife had Cesar salad and though there was a little too much dressing it was good. I can't comment on... More
