Found this restaurant while wandering a side street in El Born area. Great find, because we enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. We liked it so much, we chose to visit for another meal. We sat inside on our first visit, and outside at tables across the street during our second visit. We liked the open air dining, and... More

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 3 November 2016

We spent 7 days in Barcelona and ate in a range of places. We concluded that the food in this place was the best. Had the fried little fish and the eggplant and I am now home half way around the world and still thinking about the meal here!!!

In the old Barcelona city, this restaurant offers a nice choice of tapas at a good price. Staff is very efficient you can eat outside on a very calm plazza

Just had a meal here, cost €62 for 4 main courses and 1 starter and we all walked away hungry. Portions were tiny, smallest I think I have ever seen. On up the side setting was nice and service ok and what there was tasted all right but nothing amazing.

We ate here during our first day and had tapas. Expecting small dishes but the tapas were normal size entrees. The mussels were huge. Sat outside and they brough over a complimentary glass of Cava. The portions were so big that we had to cancel two dishes. A MUST GO!!!

They kindly squeezed us in although the restaurant was pretty full. The food was fab - particularly loved the cod. The staff were brilliant with our daughter and really accommodating despite being busy, The jamon was delicious - in fact everything we ate and drank was really good!

We foudn this restaurant by chance and sat down at the terrace outdoor. The localisation is ideal, but drinks and food are overpriced for the quantity and the quality ! It might make your mouth water on the menu, but nothing special once in your plate really. I won't go back

We sat down at one of the three outside tables. One table was a couple of ladies having a glass of wine and the other was a single man waiting for something. We were asked what we wanted. I said "some drinks please." I was told "this is a restaurant, we serve food." I said "Ok, we'll have something to... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
