This place is amazing. I would come back to Barcelona Just for this place alone. We didn’t know about it but saw people going in and how much interest there was in such a modest looking restaurant. The owner and waitress were super kind with...More

We were told (almost ordered) by our Airbnb host to go here. He is a native catalan and said he would take us. This is one of the oldest places in Barcelona. Traditionally the fishermen came in to eat here after they came in from...More

We really wanted to have tapas and La Cova Fumada was the perfect place. The restaurant is a rustic, genuine, small place. The staff was amazing and everything we ordered was delicious. The "bombas" were our favourite, but we also loved the aioli bread, the...More

Off the beaten track a little but a really fun place that gets PACKED so be prepared to wait. Bombas were awesome, local cheap wines and beer. A great place to get a feel for eating inexpensively. Fun to watch the family run place keep...More

Would like to keep this place a secret so that it does not change. Rustic, local, small, no frills . has been there forever and their tapas Are the real thing . Check opening times before going.

We came here on a Saturday evening, we arrived early since we heard it can get crowded. We walked right by the restaurant the first time as it hadn’t opened yet and there is no sign. When we entered our waiter kindly gave us an...More

Quick review for a lighting speed, but taste bud-caressing, lunch. Well seasoned hands in the kitchen. Friendly faced staff are weaving from packed table to packed table. There are scrunched napkins on the floor and a rough and ready table awaits Beth and I as...More

Every time a friend says they are headed to Barcelona, I insist they eat here. Typically open only from 900h - 1300h, it is open to 1800h on Fridays, closed Sunday. Small, friendly, near the beach (and the fishermen), the food is a step above...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

No reservations for this place... As soon as you arrive you give your name to the waiter... If you go in the weenkend, go early because they close really early. It normally takes arround 20min to get seated. ENJOY!
