The best Aragó kitchen. Excellent price. Alegria and good products. Longanicica and tigres, bravas the best of the house.

If you want to experience a genuine tapas bar look no further. Service is good and they have English menus. Be prepared to wait for a table on the terrace and note it closes on Sunday evening and all day Monday. Prices are much better than less authentic bars and the quality of the food is superior.

In a city dominated by tapas food chains, la Esquinica probably offers the best authentic tapas in Barcelona. Don't expect fancy tourist tapas, nor a modern design restaurant. The restaurant is always full, so you better try to be there early to avoid having to cue. The place can also be very noisy, specially when you are surrounded by a... More

If you want a truly authentic tapas experience in Barcelona, La Esquinica is the place to go. Tapas weren't originally a Catalan thing; they come from Andalucia in the South. However, La Esquinica has been serving tapas for decades in Horta, a village district in the north of the city. It was originally located in a different place on the... More

Very local Tapas Place super cheaply priced. Taste was okay but nothing special. Good recommendation for bog groups

The place is still away from the tourist route. Its an authentic tapas place where you can find good food for a good price. Everything is very good and the service is really fast. Best Bravas of Barcelona! The only thing you need to have in consideration is to arrive early, otherwise you will need to wait in line for... More

I was visiting Barcelona with some friends for a day only. We were about to go to the La Rambla for food, when a friend (local) took us to this place. It was just amazing. Great food and service. All very simple, but just the experience we were looking for. Local fresh food away from the main touristic attractions, that... More

Food here is great, and was really enjoyable, but I'm really rating this restaurant for their ability to cope with a large group (30 plus) at short notice. This was handled smoothly and we never felt like we were causing any trouble. As mentioned, the food was excellent, with the octopus being a real highlight.

We wanted to get away from the usual tourist places and looked up a good place at from the centre. The waiter's English wasn't good which was surprisingly refreshing. The food was nice and cheap. We particularly enjoyed the Spanish sausages and fried fish. The decor was nice and the staff were good
