Amazing food (we ordered a lot of food, all of which was great; sushi with foie gras were especially delicious), friendly and efficient service, very pleasant ambiance, great location. Highly recommended!!

Gyoza, eggplant, tempura veggies and duck spring rolls were all amazing! Definitely worth while. Very quiet restaurant but good service.

If u want good sushi come here. It isn't amazing, but its very good. The selection of rolls are somewhat small. But the fish is fresh, the service is friendly, and the restaurant decor is nice. average price for a roll was ?10.

Ok, where to start? So many good reviews, but why? The makis were different, i give you that. Fusion-ish. Tasted ok, but not mind blowing. The Ebi tempura was good. The mochi (dessert) was a joke. Lose dough and some whipped cream from a can. Bad sushi rice, so the makis fell apart when you tried to lift them up.... More

Matsuri now ranks as my all time favourite sushi restaurant. The menu is great - with some very interesting and innovative Thai and Japanese options. We ended up choosing a range of their maki which were fantastic. Most of them were delicious but one in particular - with tempura banana inside and salmon outside - was suprisingly mindblowing and amazing.... More

My favorite Japanese-Thai in the gothic district. The menu is so extended that the best option is to let yourself guide by Alexandra, the co-owner. Almost every starter or plate comes in original dishes and the service is very friendly, discrete.

I was in Barcelona for 3 days For my birthday and booked Matsuri as a treat! It was by far the best sushi I have had! The salmon nigiri melted in our mouths, the tempura was light and fluffy, not too oily at all and it was washed down with delicious sake! We were staying in the Born area so... More

Good sushi in Barcelona is not always so easy to find. And it must be considered luxury food because in general it is expensive. Luckily we happened to pass by this restaurant in old town close to Placa Sant Jaume. The sushi is outstanding with many surprising and different tastes. Prices are good. The staff is very friendly! The interior... More

We arrived on a Sunday, and had the place almost to ourselves. The service was very friendly and helpful, although the waitresses spoke very average English. Makes the experience all the more interesting! The food was really great. We tried some japanese starters, the aubergine with sesame seeds was fantastic. We also had makis and a japanese curry. Delicious. With... More

We ordered a lot of food. Ambiance was really good. The cold sake was delicious! Yakitori and gyoza as starter then Nigiri Salmon & Tuna, Unagi eel avocado, Tokyo maki special, sashimi tuna & salmon and final we finished it with a green tea / strawberry mochi. The waiters provided excellent service. We can really recommend Matsuri for Sushi lovers!... More
