Were actually looking for another place and went to a local fruit & veg shop to ask directions and in the language of pointing and gesture managed to fathom they were suggesting we go somewhere else - La Bombetta. First time of asking it was...More

La Barceloneta is a classic place for locals to enjoy tapas and this is one of the knowest places. Good food, great staff and reasonable prices. They don't accept credit card.

We stopped here while on the Barcelona food tour and we are so glad Kaye brought us here. First, they will not take your order in English or any other language except Catalan or Spanish... but the Bombas were SO DELICIOUS and the beer was...More

Went to La Bombeta brought by a friend who lives in Barcelona and it was one of the best places we had eaten. The whole lot of seafood options is available, super fresh and go down very well with the house sangria. Great experience, we'll...More

The place receive its name for a delicious dish called Bombetas. I do not describe them so you are not "biased" or wrong expectations. Just try them. The food is delicious even when the waiters are "kind of slow," compared to american standards. Drinks are...More

We stumbled across this place at 22:00 on a Tuesday and it was rammed with locals - always a good sign. We had a short wait for a table, but the food was relatively speedy considering how busy it was. Four tapas, two desserts, half...More

Had a fantastic dinner here and an afternoon at the beach. No airs and graces to this place, just excellent traditional tapas and a classic vibe. Patatas bravas, salad, sardinas and grilled calamari (a particular highlight). Everything fresh and tasty, and well priced. Typical old...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in
