Came due to the hype, wasn't disappointed. We tried so many things on the menu, pork cheeks, fois gras, anchovies, quail, etc - everything is amazing. The drinks are all amazing. The desserts are to die for. Incredible atmosphere, so glad we made the trip here. Will certainly be back next time we get to Barcelona.

This spot had shown up on so many reviews and sites as a must go, I had to find a way to visit. Fortunately it is a short walk down the hill from the Miro Museum and so we made it a lunch destination on a cold and wet April afternoon. As promised, this spot is TINY. Due to the... More

We were fortunate enough to be staying just round the corner from this wonderful little tapas bar which is about 5 minutes walk from Parall-el metro. It opens in the evening at bang on 7.00 and within minutes it's rammed. The variety of tapas is fantastic....not the usual display of pretty toppings on french bread but made as you order... More

Arrived with a small queue at the door, wait was around ten mins. No one will sit you, just make sure your eyes are open for any open spots to stand and quickly secure your spot to start your adventure of amazing tapa tasting. Small restaurant space packed with people, if you are looking for a comfortable place to dine... More

If you're looking for a traditional sit down dinner, forget it. But if you're open minded about how to get a taste of the best tapas in a buzzing atmosphere then this place is a must. We arrived at around 8.30pm on a Monday and had to queue for about 15 mins before we could get in, but we were... More

The place is too tight! Only 3 tables and it's quite uncomfortable! But the "tapas" are incredible! The wine and Cavas chart is awesome, you choose them in the wall and ask to open! It really worth it, but you have to keep in mind that comfort here is not the key!

This was our first time in Barcelona my boyfriend looked this place up and we really wanted to find it. It's not located in central Barcelona, it to a trip on the metro to get here, this was our last day in Barcelona and I was a bit tired. The place doesn't open until 7pm, it was about 7.05pm by... We were staying in hotel paralel literally a minute away from quimet, so having read the reviews had to try it! A complete experience - standing room only, order a selection of tapas from the menu, which are prepared in front of you and passed over the bar. Delicious and different!

We went here on our last day on the way to the airport - so two suitcases and a baby in a pushchair in a standing bar - quite adventurous but it was totally worth it. The food here is all served from the bar based off a decent size menu. We had the salmon, prawn, goat cheese and mushroom... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
