Food is good by all means but for a Michelin star restaurants I would expect extraordinary. The Classic tasting menu offer neat tricks and flavors how food can be composed, but the final touch was missing. Service is okay, but I would hope to have more sincere and professional approach from them

so...I don't think i have ever been at a Michelin 1 star by myself but stayed at the Omm tonight and love good food and wine, went to the bar at 5 for the free Cava and asked if they could take one person at Moo - a bit of a discussion but OK. Very pleasant and attractive lady who... More

The previous reviews obsess about Michelin stars. Forgot all that and enjoy the memorable experience of dining here. The atmosphere is high design chic in an informal open area with wonderful disparate sculptures on the tables and a very entertaining large table where much of the food preparation takes place. The food is creative and well prepared. I had an... More

I'm somewhat conflicted about Roca Moo. I want to give it 5 stars but somehow I can't. Location is great, decor is elegantly understated, service was impeccable, the food delighted and the wines were well matched. Here comes the 'however': with the exception of the 'golden egg' the rest of our tasting menu, while a pleasure to eat, was not... More

This restaurant occupies a very modern and stylish space at the back of the lobby in a 5 star hotel in the smartest shopping district of Barcelona. There is a public carpark right under the hotel, and the underground is also nearby so access is easy. The service is informal and seemed less organised than in Can Roca, but very... More

This was our last meal in Barcelona and was the perfect ending to our trip. The entire dining experience was amazing. Every table has a great view of food the preparation and presentation. The tasting menu and accompanying wine pairing exceeded our expectations and was matched by the attentive staff and their presentations. Reservations imperative.

My comments for the meal I had: 1. Aperitivo - I asked if they are on the house. The waiters said yes. But they later still showed on the bill, and I forgot to ask for a waiver. (NO Star). 2. Carpaccio is fair, but it is not definitely a Euro 25 material. (1 star) 3. Liebre (hare) turned out... More

It was a big birthday for my wife and, after a fair amount of research, we decided to try Roca Moo for dinner. It was absolutely what it says on the tin. The classic menu, with paired wines, was startling in its innovation and the wines were all absolutely a point. The service was great and attentive, but lacked that... More

I found the service in the restaurant to be excellent, friendly, good humoured, and professional. My wife and I had the Classic Tasting Menu with matched wines. The meal started really well with a variety of tasty and interesting pre-starters. However, from then on it was all downhill. Compared to the restaurants I am used to in Dublin Ireland the... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
