We recently spent four nights in Barcelona. This tapas bar stands out as our favorite venue in a 6-week circum-Med. trip. We were taken there by the cousin of a friend from our New Mexico home. He just kept ordering tapas dishes for us and...More

We happened upon this place by chance which was fabulous! It is a tiny traído al Catalan tapas joint filled almost entirely with locals. I’m sure it’s crowded any time of day but just shove in- it’s worth it. The local cava was divine (I...More

I loved tapas and home made cava with special glasses. The place is not very much known by tourists, quite local. I definetely recommend the place.

This was probably our fav meal in Barcelona. It was crowded and we almost didnt go in, though it came highly recommended. So glad we stayed. The line went fast. The food was so good. Our waitress was phenomenal. Her grandfather owns the place. It...More

Wow, what a place! There was a mad dash as the shutters went up and we got one of the last tables. The house made Cava was excellent, as well as all the tasty food. Favourites were the octopus (pulpo) and the Cava. The bell...More

Well worth queing for a place. Wide selection of excellent tapas at decent prices. Both adults and children can easily be pleased. We visited early Spanish lunch time (around 13) and had the queue a while, yet the queue time was longer when we left...More

The place looked busy with locals (and tourists), so we decided to pop in for lunch after buying some artwork from a gallery next door. We elected to do like the locals, and stand at the counter. Although it was busy at lunchtime, service was...More

We loved this place so much we came back two days in a row. Delicious house cava and best tapas I’ve ever tasted. Just go with the flow and have whatever the waiter suggests: definitely have the macaroni with a meat truffle sauce but there...More

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

It's really small place and really hard to find a place to sit. Most of the people are standing. However I saw couples or friend groups there. If you go early you might find a place.

I don't think that they take reservations. It's more of a first come first served situation. I would strongly recommend to go earlier before they open especially if it's a larger group of people.
