Went here around lunchtime. Tapas was excellent and the crowd was fun loving. Will definitely recommend more so if you are visiting the Picasso museum since it's just a stones throw away

This tapas restaurant had a great food selection, traditional to Catalan with dishes you won't find elsewhere. The waitstaff was friendly and the food and cava we're both excellent. It gets super crowded around 1:30 and seating may be unavailable, but there is also a...More

El Xampanyet was recommended to us by a friend and certainly did not disappoint! On our first day in Barcelona, we visited for a quick tapas meal, which swept us off our feet - we walked out with a grin from ear to ear, stating...More

Wonderful food here for lunch, and very welcoming of our two year old. Bill came to very reasonable price for quality of what we had - would highly recommend

This is a small family tapas bar (pinchos). Hasn't been going long really. They only started in 1927 - 4 generations ago. Hardly there really! Wow. The food is awesome. Particularly the smoked tuna - a must!!!! The staff are fantastic, and the muscat desert...More

We came on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. After a short wait at the bar (with delicious cava and pintxos) we were given a free table and ordered purely what the staff recommended; beef with padron peppers, Spanish omelette, calamari and...More

This was our second visit and it was just an amazing experience as the first time. Be patient and wait for a table while enjoying a glass of the house cava. When seated let the waiters decide the menu. The will keep serving the most...More

We visited this restaurant after watching the local Flamenco show (it's next door, and also awesome). We were blown away by how friendly the atmosphere in the whole bar was, and it's all down to really passionate, engaging and interested staff. We were welcomed in,...More

Show up early because this place is popular, and for good reason: This is tapas heaven (we had chef's selection). The service is laid back yet super attentive. Here is endless cava. Everything to absolutely fair prices. What more could you ask? Enjoy!

The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

It's really small place and really hard to find a place to sit. Most of the people are standing. However I saw couples or friend groups there. If you go early you might find a place.

I don't think that they take reservations. It's more of a first come first served situation. I would strongly recommend to go earlier before they open especially if it's a larger group of people.
