The food was absolutely wonderful—inventive yet approachable. The courses were well paced, and the waiters explained each course, including the local ingredients. And, such a nice touch at the end to leave with a book about the restaurant with a copy of that night's menu. I look forward to returning on my next trip to Barcelona.

We came to Cinc Sentits for my partners 30th and right from the start we knew we were in for something special. The ambience and feel of is great and the staff provide a great combination of a special yet relaxed atmosphere. We chose the 6 course, with wine flight. The food is absolutely incredible, as is the wine. And... More

This is a family run restaurant with a self-taught chef, producing food that is both imaginatively conceived and presented, whilst tasting delicious. You choose either a 4-course or 6-course set menu (we had a number of food allergies which mean't we ended up with 5), but the more the merrier. Charming friendly service, speaking excellent english. My only complaint was... More

From the first moment you walk through the very elegant door, you experience a world of gastromony that is hard to properly describe. The entire experience was incredible. The wine paring with the tasting menu was perfect. The Captain of Service explained each course pared with the wine in expert detail. My daughter and I were treated to an experience... More

Fine dining with excellent food, professional service and attention to details. It is advisable to book in advance since there are not many tables.

Michelin star, really? The place is a fake on multiple accounts. We had lunch reservation at 1:30, were on time, restaurant was closed, walked around on the street for 10 minutes, knocked again, were told to walk around 5 more minutes, so we were admitted 15 minutes late, and it did not spell like the beginning of a beautiful friendship.... The chef's starters were really good and also the best experience of the evening. After that the food was fine but not surprising and wines not matching. For the price of €400 a little bit disappointing.

My friend and i took a late dinner here and choose the 6 course tasting menu and wine parring. The tappas starter and pork belly was the best thing we had that night out of that menu but unfortunatly the tasting between was lacking flavour. The staff was very proffesional and ready to acompany us in any way. Unfortunatly with... More

During our stay in Barcelona we decided to treat ourselves to a Michelin star restaurant, of which there are a few in Barcelona. This one, 5 Senses sounded intriguing and was a good walk from our accommodation so we booked a month or more in advance for lunch . From our welcome amuse bouche of salty, sweet , crunchy yumness... Ideal for our special celebration. Amazing food and service equivalent to top Michelin star restaurant. The experience is one for us to remember for ever. They check out what you won't/can't eat and the whole menu is a surprise on the day but each tasting dish was explained in detail by the great staff and we thoroughly enjoyed every dish.... More

Description
Awarded a Michelin star since 2008, and rated #1 for food in Barcelona by Zagat, Cinc Sentits has created a buzz in Barcelona. Prodigal chef Jordi Artal's playful experiments with Catalan tastes, aromas, textures, layers, and sensations is cutting edge stuff. He recommends the seasonal tasting menu, letting each course bring a new and exciting sensation to your palate. There is a 6-course and a shorter 4-course version of the menu, both available with an optional wine pairing. All this, plus professional yet friendly multilingual service in a modern setting.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
