We were looking for a restaurant with great paella and Can Majo hit the spot. I read about this restaurant on yelp and on other travel websites and Can Majo does have the best paella. It is jam packed with seafood and the portions are huge. They have a nice patio by the beach where you can sit and enjoy... More

This restaurant stands out in my 5 day stay in Barcelona. On one website this was listed has having a remarkable paella, which was in fact very good. But I also had their fisherman's soup with rice, which was really impressive. While in Barcelona one can easily find paella, which is quite good but has a narrow range of quality;... More

Probably our best meal while visiting Barcelona. Had the cod fritters, razor clams and paella. Fantastic wine list.

Have eaten here at various times of the day and it never fails to disappoint. Knowledgable and professional service, good wine list and the freshest seafood the mediterranean can offer. Keep your eyes peeled for the daily specials. It is a little on the pricey side but it's worth every penny

We have made a reservation to this restaurant. Our expectations have been quite high. And yes, they have not disappointed us. Good choice of fresh, sea starters, good selection of main dishes, very good desserts. We had actually for main course Sea food Paella, which we just love. And it is for sure on of the best in Barcelona. They... More

i recommend to have your meal at the terrace take the waiters suggestion for the daily fish selections , you can't go wrong the wine selection is not too extensive but they have the best to go with your meal take your time to enjoy the whole experience

Good place on the beach for seafood ask for a paella, fideua or a bacalau. They do have indoor seating for the winter time. However, the outside seating is glorious with a view of the Mediterranean Sea and the beach that it's hard to go indoors if weather permits

The paella here came highly recommended by friends, as with the fresh seafood too. We tried the local fideua, not rice(paella) seafood - basically noodles cooked the local way. It was very flavorful and the servings were huge! Good friendly service. We ate inside (it was too cold for outside dining) and in hindsight it was better because when we... More

I have been coming to Can Majo for years and it is consistently excellent in food, service and wine! I tried their Gazpacho this year and it was far the best I have ever had, I also have their paella and went back on several occasions to try their other rice seafood dishes - all outstanding. Don't go anywhere else... More

Ate here last night with my family on our first night in Barcelona. I had initially made a reservation for 8pm but since I didn't get any confirmation email, I didn't think it went through. It was 9:30pm when we arrived at the restaurant and thanks to the Filipina maitre, we were accommodated. Cherry was great! She helped us on... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
