I busied twice during my stay in the Born district. The place is lovely and the staff are very enthusiastic (though they was one member who was there the second time, who was a little less friendly). Great coffee and my brother enjoyed then pancakes....More

Great flavors, great staff and energy. Tuna with crispy rice, tomato salad with smoked burrata, and crisp smoke and sweet octopus. Sat at the bar. No reservation, so that was a matter of timing and luck. Best dinner of a wonderful week in Barcelona.

One of the best restaurants of our trip to Spain. Wonderful food, beautifully presented and the service is top notch. If we ever return to Barcelona, we will return to Elsa y Fred. This is a small restaurant so be sure to make reservations.

Waitresses are very enthousiastic about the food they serve. Very enjoyable. Octopus tapas is worth trying... despite the price.

We had an absolute wonderful experience from potentially waiting a long time for a table at this hot trendy restaurant while my husband scoped out other options ... while I had a glass of house red ("Fred") ... when the hostess informed me that miraculously,...More

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants
