Helpful staff, lovely atmosphere and good value food and wine, in a cute little square. Sit outside in the sun or inside with the quirky decor.

They have a cheese plate I like called comte that is good to share even. I stopped in recently for breakfast and... More

Came upon this small restaurant for a quick bite. Had a a great offering of meats and cheeses and a menu that wasn't even translated! The waiter was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions. Not fancy, but reasonably priced and a nice atmosphere.

Hello Lena, Thanks for your comments, hope you feel better after. Just a detail, if I may. We don't say, very bad vermouth, we say, I don't like it. Because, we use to sell a typical commercial brand before and we changed almost a year ago for an artisanal and quality vermouth. And after a year, you are the first... More

Since the open this bar I visited it several times and I have always been great enjoying the food. The last time I went there was for having some drinks before having lunch in another place. I realized the waiters where different, except the bar tender all of them weren't french. So, we asked a Tariquet (white wine) and a... More

Muy Buenas David ! Thanks for the comment. It's not a problem for us if the people who works with us don't speak french, where are in Spain and over all in Catalonia. Do not get wrong but I'm sorry to inform you that "Pastis" in Catalan means "Pastry", So we can consider that my team informed you well. If... More

Great local cafe bar. Went a couple of times on my last visit to Barcelona. Eclectic mix of furniture, I am told all supplied on local 'leave your unwanted furniture in the street' night. This French run cafe serves great Pilsner Urquel on draft and you can chomp away on a variety of delicious French cheeses such as Comte (not... More

Stumbled upon this gem, whilst walking in the Gothic Quarters! Coffee: Colombian beans grinded to tasteful perfection Cheese: Right from Mimolette to Comté to Brie to Roquefort, their wide array of cheese varieties will make you eat more and walk out heavier than you walked in. Environ: Rusty set up with used Sewing machines as tables and much more.. To... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
