Eat as if you were in Italy. Food is prepared in advance (home made, no industrial food), and heated up, without compromising its taste. nice atmosphere inside and friendly service. And don't forget to order Tiramisu!

If you are looking for a quick lunch without compromising on quality and authenticity this is the place for you. Melocomo serves real Italian food ( I am Italian and I can guarantee) and the stuff is pleasant and eager to help you choosing. The coffe and home made desserts are also very nice. You can also do your food... More

Dishes are already done, they heat on microwave but they are very tasty. Several combinations and fair prices. Good if you are in a rush.

Delicious food, based on the best product of the Italian tradition. Home-made lasañas, juicy mozzarellas, creamy pannacotta…. Don’t forget to buy some ham or cheese to take home!

If you're looking for great Italian lunch meat and cheeses in Poble Nou, this is where you'll find it. They have fresh burrata and aged cheeses, salamis and mortadella, even pocket coffee. Have a real espresso or capuccino and a homemade pastry. It's a family-run European business so try to go at "normal" hours!

I just discovered this place recently and already went twice. The first half of the place looks like a shop where you can find some very high quality italian products (from pasta to coffee, biscuits to cheeses). The second half hosts some tables with extremely good menu. All plates I've tried so far were excellent. You must try the smoked... More

Fantastic authentic food served from such a cosy space that it feels like you are in someone's front room. The menu is compact, but well thought out, with daily specials and a reasonably priced menu del dia. Must try the Artichoke lasagne!

While I listen to the lovely cover of "I'm in heaven" in the voice of Ella Fitzgerald.... I still flavour the last zip of pompeian wine, recomended by the house, and save the last bite of the best tiramisu in town for later, I hope that this moment will never end. This homely italian delicatessen hides a few tables in... More

Staying in Poblenou

Neighbourhood Profile
Poblenou
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
