After a series of drab tapa meals my wife and I hit the jackpot here. A great find and even though we had to wait for a table (80 minutes) it was completely worth it. Beautifully prepared food with a creative twist and excellent service. The best carpaccio we have ever tasted. It's not cheap, but certainly not unreasonable.

Went to La Pepita today for lunch on the recommendation of two different locals. Got there about 1:45 to avoid the lunch rush and got a table right away. The food was fresh and delicious. Our server was very attentive and friendly even though it got busy very quickly. Only problem was that we didn't get to try everything. Will... More

Tapas restaurant! Do not take reservations! But worth the wait! Easier for party of 2! Great ambiance! Tapas were fabulous... great wine, good desserts! And don't forget to ask for your "chupito" ( After dinner drink, on the house!) Friendly service! Dot go take photos with chefs!

We were recommended to visit by a friend who lives in Barcelona and we were so pleased that it was. A small tapas restaurant and we knew that we had to wait on arrival, but found we were soon seated. Must have the sea bass and also the aubergine fritters. Fantastic good and great ambience! You need to take a... More

I wanted to come here after reading reviews, it's quite a quirky place and it was good fun but the food was a little mediocre. We got there quite early as guide book said that people queue to come in, maybe better when it's a bit busier as it was quite quiet and lacking in atmosphere when we went.

...and we were right to visit this restaurant. The place is small but comfortable for small groups. The staff is truly friendly and the food was amazing. The portions are nice and prices are totally fine. My native Spanish friend was impressed too. We enjoyed our time with them.

This restaurant is busy to say the least but the food was worth the wait. Delicious and our waiter was fun, helpful, and spoke english if necessary. We had free shots after dinner always a plus. Definitely get the VIC. Food was well presented. We had 2 cavas, bottle water, salad, 3 tapas, Pepita sandwich for about 50 euro.

We chose the restaurant both for the food and ambient. We had patatas bravas, croquettes con jamon, fried calamari, and smoked aubergine with goat cheese cream and apple. The first three dishes were good, but the smoked aubergine was excellent!! For desert we had the chocolate with olive and olive oil. It is a 100% mediterranean desert, that worths trying.... More

If you get the chance this is not to be missed. It's a small spot, with a mix of locals and tourists and everyone seems welcome. Service was great and the food was awesome. Also, feel free to bring your markers and write on the wall. 😃

Description
New concept of tapas, reinventing our spanish beloved pepito sandwich, feminizing it and using new ingredients under this same concept. Taking care of the traditional receipts, product´s season and tapas eating way. La Pepita is a place to come for an early aperitif, some beers and bravas, late lunch or dinner, at the marble bar or in the cozy small saloon. It is a familiar restaurant, where the value for money and treat is something we take care about.

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
