A unique tapas bar tucked away in the Gothic Quarter. There is nothing “typical” about it. It is located near the Placa de Sant Jaume on a small alley. Even on a late Sunday evening, it is bustling and alive. We tried several tostas, and...More

Great gin and cocktails. Great mackerel dish as well as the star of the menu ... the calamari ... service was quick and efficient in a great cosy atmosphere. Just what we wanted to experience in Barcelona.

Ducked into this dark little bar-restaurant after exploring the Cal and we were not disappointed! Great atmosphere, great food! It feels very old and authentic with it's stone walls and narrow passages. The enormous candle is pretty unique too. There is also outdoor seating in...More

Las Alcoba Azul offered a fine little square to watch and excellent nibbles on our journey through El Call. Service was attentive and friendly, and our atrocious Catalan (or Spanish) was kindly overlooked. Double shot espresso was the best we'd had in Spain. Highly recommended!

With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this

under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War
with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and
authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be

It only opens for dinner. When not open you wouldn't think anything was there. Best to ask a local.
