We had a great lunch at Restaurant Allium. The food is Spanish but with a modern twist, and it's super delicious. My travelling partner had their dish-of-the-day, a very tasty mushroom and Jamon stew-type dish. The staff are very nice and the restaurant is very gluten free friendly. (We actually heard about Restaurant Allium through a TimeOut piece on allergy... More

We went to this restaurant just to eat paella because of a friend's suggestion. The place is cozy and the waiters are nice. The paella was very good but I think it was little food for 2. The dessert was pretty decent but too expensive (I suggest you to grab some dessert elsewhere if you don't want to spend a... More

Fairly new minimalist modern restaurant not far from the Cathedral, and with a host of Catalan aspirations. Many dishes outside the mainstream in a modern restaurant. The young and enthusiastic waiter explained the differences from traditional dishes and we ended up with a mushroom dish with lovely cream sauce (starter) and an oxtail right on Catalonian view (main course). Extremely... More

If you are looking for a relaxed, friendly, welcoming place to sit and enjoy a fabulous dinner, look no further! Allium is not far from the Cathedral, but has a real feel of being secluded and off the beaten track. We arrived about 7.15pm, which we knew was early, but by the time we finished it was full. The waiting... More

Our first night in Barcelona was rough, we couldn't find a place to go that was nice and with good reviews food wise. We ended up here and the place seemed very nice, though a little empty to be a Friday night in the barri gotic. The food and the service were great. We had one glass of wine each,... More

Friendly service in a modern setting, but the food was a disappointment and the prices for what's on offer outrageous. Not just mediocre, really bad food.

Went here for lunch yesterday and we had the menu of the day. You have 3 choices for starter, main course and dessert each including drinks for only 15€ pp! It was realy delicious. My starter however (roquefort croquettes) was still frozen but I got new ones immediately when I mentioned it. Very friendly staff.

We enjoyed our Catalan meal at Allium, with great food and good wine. Our service was a little slow, but that is a fairly typical thing to encounter in Barcelona. Nice location to relax after a day of touristing in Barri Gotic!
