Unwelcoming. We arrived at 11 staff cleaning up to go home as we ordered they don’t shut until 12. cleaning up our table before we finished made us feel like we needed to rush. Burger was not cooked which we did get a refund but...would rather of had a nice meal. Drinks menu poor. Ran out of most of the gins. Very very rushed. Also club 61 was advertised as open but was shut very disappointedMore
We came across this place which has a beautiful exterior and extremely interesting story, it looks extremely up market from the exterior and we were concerned for our wallets, but this was not needed Beautiful internal and external building, amazing and attentive staff who were...extremely friendly and funny, and happy to interact in English with us which they were proficient in, although I’m sure they enjoyed our broken attempts! Lovely wine and interesting beer/wine menu, with some unique tastes We chose to have simply the Iberia selection with bread and tomato, due to having already eaten, which was lovely and a very good portion A very reasonable price for the setting, location and staff and the quality of food We will be back when we are hungry and ready to experience the infamous speak easy below!More
We happened by this place on our wall back to our hotel and decided to peak in and hopefully they could seat us in this busy part of town. Luckily they were able to and wowed us with such professionalism, attentiveness and delicious food. My...wife knows food and we were both impressed. Our waitresses had us laughing and their suggestions were really good. Paco was so gracious and showed us the speak easy and even got us seats to enjoy an after dinner aperitif. Sonny was also so kind and explained the process for the gorgeous flowers in the ice. We liked this place so much that we returned 2 more times. We laugh about it but it was just that good. Try the patatas bravas and the ceviche, both delicious.More
All the diner was very Good. And the service from Frederica and Kevin was very nice and professional. Many Thanks for this experience
This restaurant was right around the corner from our hotel and highly recommended by them so had to try it. The food was amazing... our server Bernie was great! We arrived early and by the time we left the place was packed. Great food and...atmosphere.More
This was a last minute decision, we were tired and hungry, Casa rafols has good reviews and was very close to our place. It didnt dissapoint. the service was outstanding, very friendly. I ate the pulpo al la parrila and it was delicious, my husband...got the tartar de vaca vieja and it was very good ( I still like the octopus more) we had some croquetas also and sangria which was really good tooMore
My girlfriend and I walked in Friday night and the tapas were excellent! We had an amazing server by the name of Victoria. She was very friendly, funny and helpful with selecting a few dishes. After waiting on a table of 14 obnoxious Italians 😉...She was able to keep her cool! Truly the best waitress ever! The atmosphere is energetic with a lively and happy crowd. Thanks to Victoria, We learned how to prepare the garlic/tomato bread that seems extremely popular. After our meal she took us down to the private club and headed to the bar for more drinks. 🍷 If you go please say high to Victoria! 😊More
Came here a couple of nights ago with a group of 28 colleagues for an offsite and this was hands down and incredible dinner. It was recommended to me by a former colleague who lives in Barcelona, who assured me that this was a very...“Spanish” restaurant and he was not wrong. I didn’t want to bring my team to a tourist trap so this was so refreshing. In a lovely location right by the Arc de Triomf, the restaurant is located in a former hardware store with many of its original features still standing. The décor was stylish but not fussy and just felt incredibly cool. Due to the size of our group, we went with group sharing menu to make things easier. The staff at the restaurant were so welcoming and accommodating from the moment I started planning this, taking into account my team’s dietary requirements effortlessly. The group sharing menus also include an allowance of wine / beer per person in the price per head which was great and also a welcome glass of cava when we arrived. The food just kept coming and coming, it was never ending and we were highly impressed with the quality of the food. The octopus and the steak were a huge hit with the team, but to be honest, every course was fantastic. The staff were so helpful and kind, really getting into the spirit of the event with us and so it made for a great night out. Thank you for a lovely evening, and a memorable meal. I will recommend your restaurant to everybody!More
Sardines to start and steak to follow - both dishes were pretty good !! Restaurant is lively and service was excellent. It was busy and felt like we were lucky to get a table as nearly all tables had reservation names on them ….. good...idea to book.More
We loved the story, the wait staff, and the tapas and wine were delicious! Gracias. We will return.
Had a lovely family meal at Casa Rafols, the staff were very attentive never leaving our glasses empty and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. I am gluten free and they provided me with very good options. Slight mishap with the pre order but rectified...immediately. Overall the food was delicious and we had a great time.More
After a long walk on the streets of Barcelona , we were really hungry and for our surprise looked like we found a nice restaurant to dine in . The restaurant looked busy and the atmosphere was nice . Unfortunately our dinner didn’t end up...well. As we dig in our main courses , my partner just make me aware that behind me there is a cockroach running around. When I turn around , on the sofa that I was sitting on there we’re actually 2 cockroaches hunting down for some food . They were really close and disgusting. Of course this cut completely our dinner and the idea of actually continuing to eat the food . I was disgusted as well at the approach of the staff . They offered me another seat at another table . We said that we couldn’t finish our meal as this situation make as think further more on where this insects can run around ( eg : kitchen ) . We were half through our main courses , we asked for the bill and left . I do have a video in this regard but I can’t uploaded here . I did not recommend!More
Very stylish restaurant in a historic building (links with the Civil War, ask to see the hidden cellar). Food was brilliant and the staff very good indeed .... it was very busy (a Tuesday night) and service slightly slow, but that wasn't a problem. Very...highly recommended.More
The local is really pretty and the menu is quiet unusual. The food was all good but the apple pie and especially the squid croquettes were just extraordinary. It is a bit too expensive. The size of the portions and the prices don’t match well
