It was an excellent experience. The attention to detail that Jordi Cruz' crew had for us throughout the evening was flawless. They made sure we felt comfortable at all times and everything went perfectly. Furthermore, the meal was incredible. Each dish surprised us with exotic...More

On a celebration, I've chose a place to remeber for the experience, but we have a bittersweet feeling now. A restaurant like Abac is not about food, but about the entire experience. When we arrived, it was not obvious where to go. We went up...More

We have been coming to the restaurant for years and it was the place where I wanted to celebrate my 60th birthday with friends from the UK. Before returning, I had read some negative reviews of the restaurant which I found hard to believe and...More

Firstly, be aware there is no a la carte menu, just two degustation ones.. so ensure you have over 2hrs free (we took our time ans were there for 3). We had the traditional menu. Food and service excellent as one would expect. A rich...More

The food is fantastic. Really close to a 3 star. It is clear that the chef and the team have high standards, technique and (taste) composition. Really worth the tasting experience. However, the service was not at the same level. At the entrance, 15 min...More

All of the negative reviews here must be a result of delusion, this place is simply one of the worlds best. The service was impeccable, we arrived at 9pm to be personally greeted and walked into the lounge. We were referred to by name while...More

This review is of the restaurant only. The welcome was very refined and elegant, a definite sign of things to come. We, my wife and I, were seated in a lounge on a lower floor and served champagne and presented with the menu. A 16...More

I must admit to joining many recent reviewers to express my disappointment of this restaurant. I’d been greatly looking forward to trying it and was intrigued by what I had read of Jordi Cruz’s cooking. I eat regularly in great restaurants and am open to...More

This place started out great. They seat you in a lounge where you enjoy appetizers and get to walk through the kitchen before meeting the chef in person. I was so delighted by that point, that I was wondering why this place was not rated...More

I'd give it a miss if I were you. The chef who created the original ABaC now has his own place in Barcelona. It is called Celeri and I think you will find it a much more rewarding experience. His ethos is based on pleasing... More

Description
In 2000 ABaC Restaurant opened its doors in his first location, Carrer del Rec 79 in Barcelona. In May 2008 changed to his new address in Avenida Tibidabo, 1. The gastronomy is the fundamental axis of the project. The restaurant awarded with 2** Michelin, and nominated by The Best Restaurant 2011 in Catalonia by the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy, can seat up to 56 diners. Located in the newly constructed pavilion in direct contact with the garden, the interior and the exterior are found through large windows. It is a caprice of whites, in all tones. In a calm, neutral and elegant atmosphere, the sense of sophistication is shaped by the small details and the materials used, as well as a sophisticated combination of lights. The kitchen of 200 m2 has been designed by Joaquim Casademont. It is a black container, in which stainless steel furniture takes all leadership, an effect that has been reinforced by the lighting, a route marked by leds serves as a guide and allows the guests to cross it. Rooms for private events with a capacity of 20 to 60 diners respectively, complete its restoration facilities. The "Lounge Bar", which opens until 2.00 p.m. and where the music, light and color of the room subtly change; There is also an extensive cellar, offering near 1000 references, and from which you can select your perfect wine. Chef Jordi Cruz and his team of young professionals develop a creative cusine of superb technique, based on the product and which meets both creativity and tradition. In addition, our attentive yet friendly service create a professional but relaxed atmosphere, which makes ABaC holder of 2** Michelin.
