We first went to Ciudad Condal nearly ten years ago. It is still a great place for tapas, although not quite as great as in the past. The service is now a bit perfunctory, and there isn't the immediate bread and oil that appeared on that very first visit, but I guess that's the price of their well-deserved success. The... More

No wonder this restaurant is in the top 5% in the whole of Barcelona. Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we loved it. Thankfully we were hungry early and therefore able to miss the crowds. There's outdoor seating, sit by the bar but I am not sure that i would want to be stuck inside out the back in the... More

The place was very crowded and we had to put our name down. We waited about 15 mins before being seated. We didn't really appreciate the seats as they were in the back corner. The service wasn't that great. One person was serving about 10 tables. The food was a hit or miss depending on what we ordered. The shrimp... More

On my last night in BCN, I had to try the Tapas. We waited for a table for around 40 minutes, so be there early. They have different plates of tapas, and there is one plate with different tapas to try and share. You have to eat seafood if you want to try this kind of food, tho. I ordered... More

We arrived thinking it looked busy, plenty of space available upstairs. Good service with recommendations given if needed. We chose various plates from the menu which we added to during the meal. Everything was delicious only disappointment was when we tried to order Anchovies twice.. they never arrived. Dessert of Crema Catalana is worth visiting for.

This place was amazing with a great vibe. Another traveler recommended this place so I took his advice. Ordered The calamari which blew me away. Then the tenderloin and mushrooms were just as good. The couple next to me at the bar also agreed how good it was. Definitely a keeper here!

We had high expectations as we came here through a referral. The experience may have been better if seated at the bar (we were at a table) but in the end it comes down to the food which was just OK compared with other restaurants we dined at during our stay in Barcelona.

Went to this supposed top rated resto on a late Wednesday night and was disappointed with the service, quality and temperature of the tapas, and the cleanliness of the glasses. We expected much more and kept our opinions open however we were not impressed with the quality or taste of the food. Seemed watered down to western tastes (at least... More

Really enjoyed dining at this tapas restaurant. The food was really good, service is friendly and attentive. We liked it so much we even dined out here twice during our short weekend trip to Barcelona. Try sit at the bar if you can as it is really fun. If you are sitting at a table and having trouble guessing the... More

Good tapas restaurant. Excellent grilled mushroom dish, OUTSTANDING beef tenderloin with foiegras, but I experienced bad shrimp skewers. There are about 5 shrimps on one skewer and three of them had a strong ammonia smell and after taste....a result of old, decomposing shrimp.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
