I've never eaten here, but they have excellent taste in poetry. I will certainly stop in next time I'm in the area.

My husband and I had dinner here. The dining room has a nice rustic feel to it and the service was friendly. We had pimientos asados (roasted peppers) which was very tasty, and solomillo iberico (grilled steak from the black pig) which was very good and served with delicious potatoes. They also had a very nice house wine that went... More

My husband and I walked into this restaurant by chance. I got cochifritos (their specialty) and gazpacho marked as "from the garden" (I'm not sure if there was an actual garden but it tasted very fresh). My husband got the cod and gazpacho as well. We were warmly greeted and led to a very charming downstairs dining area. Overall, a... More

We were looking for a nice place to eat; looked at a couple of places, but they were not what we were looking for. Entered Casa Aurelio and it seemed to be just another "tapas and beer/wine" fast food bar. The waiter took us down an escalator; which by the way was beautiful. Once downstairs; the place was amazing with... More

Very good food and the service was great. The place was not very easy to find though and the atmosphere was a bit quiet

Recommended to us as a place "de toda la vida", we lunched here last Saturday. I am a sucker for a warm welcome in a restaurant, and the lady who greeted us had the most splendid smile. The maitre however was somewhat more perfunctory although by no means unpleasant. We both chose the daily menu, and the food was okay;... More

I loved eating at this restaurant! I had lunch with a girlfriend at the Sinagoga location yesterday and we spent way more time there than intended because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Both the front-of house/manager and our server were incredibly nice, which is something I have experienced infrequently while living in Spain. They made us feel very welcome... More

The place is very beautiful - we were at the unit of calle Sinagoga (they have others in town). We felt really at the heart of Spain. Food was very well prepared, although nothing to be too long in our memories. Service is very friendly and attentive. Price is ok. Locations is superb: just in between the cathedral and the... More

Lovely restaurant, centrally situated and near the cathedral. Service was very good and the food was equally tasty. I wanted to try something traditional and was not disappointed with the "carcamusas"...a wholesome stew with primarily pork and chorizo in a lovely tomato-based sauce. Price was extremely reasonable...10€ per person which included one dish selected from the daily menu, a drink,... More

This is the house that Aurelio Montero founded in 1953 in a small space, with only two rooms. It is the oldest eatery in the historic center of Toledo. The whole family attended the business, the kitchen and the tables, with the good taste of the grandfather Joseph, and the partridge recipe "with secret" from Grandma Paula and of course, the tenacity and hard work of a boy of 16 who already knew business, offering each day a premium product, a simple kitchen but careful and friendly service.Sixty years later, the spirit of that good work survives. And if you look around, the atmosphere and decor, the table and the tablecloth, the cup and the dish did not recreate, but retain the furnishings and objects, the charm and tradition of the time, with their advantages and disadvantages, with its successes and impossible combinations, but making this our home, a unique and unrepeatable place installed in the heart of Toledo. We feel that time may stop while you also slows the pace, breathe easy, low tone, raises the spirit, ask for a wine and finally eat. Cuchifrito, lamb, partridge, cod, chicken broths, soups, white beans along with wine and beers to taste.Traditional Mancha with a touch of sincerity Aurelio style.Today the house has been extended and has a reserved and two dining rooms for a total of 75 people. Could be our slow food ."Because our servers are hopeless romantics break the dishes after just a meal: water lilies or dishes that mimic horseshoe crabs, swift wings, goldfish, swirls, spiracles in a rictus: all smashed against the edge of the table chef ... but also refrains from using pepper & salt in favor of violets & eve & squid ink wasps and honey & rare lichens grown in the county snow authentic dark silt of the Nile or the Tigris. Would not it know that poultry meat, if cooked well, heals the most common mental illnesses? 's something related with feathers. ... but you're hungry. Spend. Sit. Evidence. Tradicional castellana. Producto de alta calidad y cocina artesanal
