You can't get much closer than this hotel within the old city. Newly renovated and very comfortable. The rooms are not that well soundproofed but well appointed and a good size. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety to chose from. I would definitely stay again.

We visited beautiful Toledo for a long weekend and stayed at the Hotel Carlos V which is in the centre of the old town - between the Cathedral and the Alcazar - a perfect location. The room was modern and a very good size, with a large comfortable large bed, sitting area and good bathroom with a shower and a... More

Great rooftop views greatly enhance the experience. Menu choices were on the small size, but some good options. Service was slow, but the views more than made up for the time spent. Lot's of traffic for the camera shots which created some jockeying around diners eating near the good views. Overall a nice experience, greatly influenced by the rooftop dining.... More

We tasted the delicious Spanish paella while enjoying the view of the beautiful ancient city of Toledo from the restaurant. Warm service and comfortable settings. A good choice to spend a relaxing afternoon or evening.

We wanted a good view of Toledo while enjoying a good meal. This place was recommended to us, and it was perfect. The view was spectacular as you cold see both the city and the mountains surrounding Toledo. Food was good, service great and the price fair.

We had a drink here on the roof of the Carlos V. It has a great view over Toledo particularly at night when the cathedral etc are lit up.

Eat drink and be merry on the rooftop with crazy amazing views of the inner city - go when the sun sets as you will fry on the roof in the summer - food and drink good priced on the high end - but delicious - at least have a drink and catch the view of the cathedral....

Both locals and not just tourists, families and couples, were there when we had dinner - always a good sign. Reasonably priced with good food. Friendly staff and helpful and to two couples without A WORD OF SPANISH BETWEEN THE FOUR OF US :-)

Stayed at local hotel with no evening dining, made very welcome on entering restaurant, went down several floors to basement dining hall with large circular tables. We were in a group, but the service was quite good. Three courses, very good salad started, but then meat with chips. Why does every restauarnt serve chips with main courses?, the Spanish do... Very good tapas. Have the server help you select a plate of 5 tapas, good enough for a light lunch for 2 with a glass of wine.
