Location: close to the town center in Santander Atmosphere: don’t be fooled by the buildings in the neighbourhood and the outside. Inside it looks great and they have some pretty unique features such as a castor that transports the freshly baked bread to you. We were greeted by the champagne and cocktail trolley and they prepared some welcome cocktails for... More

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 12 November 2016

This unassuming place just outside the centre of Santander serves serious food. It was our last day of an epic two weeks exploring the regions between the Basque Country and the Mediterranean (Valencia to be exact) and it was pouring with rain - not the best day to explore so we opted for the full tasting menu. I was so... More

Had a fantastic meal here last night. We chose the tasting menu with matching wines. The cooking was superb and really imaginative. The service was also just right. (Thank you Pietro) They dealt with request for dairy free options amazingly well. We would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant

I went here two times in summer with my girl who's a vegetarian. First time before going there we called and ask if they could make a vegetarian menu and it was no problem for them, although we called on the same day. The next time we called a day in advance and asked about the vegetarian menu, but were... More

Chose the tasting menu with matching wines - a really fabulous experience. Great welcome ( and very good English explanations ) from the waiting staff. The food was unusual and just marvellous. The wine choices, though, were exceptional - a great selection of wines from smaller , mainly Spanish, vineyards - the Torrontes and Pinot Noir from Alda in southern... More

Simply stunning food, reverential. The menu with the wine pairing is 50 Euros per person, which considering their Michelin star, is tremendous value. The setting is nondescript, but the service is fantastic, you will really appreciate the level of knowledge and care taken by all the staff. Their is no salt and pepper on the table, because they are not... More

We had a wonderful lunch here a few days ago and highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for fine dining in Santander. The room is warm and welcoming, as are the staff. When the head waiter realised that I had little Spanish, another waiter with excellent English came to serve us. While we were the only table in... More

I would give it more stars if I could! This place is the embodiment of hospitality. The staff make you feel so naturally at home and the dishes are out of this world! The kitchen perfectly combines creativity with substance, every plate is incredible and the produce is always fresh ( fish on offer changes by day according to the... More

My wife and I dined at El Serbal last week. Early dinning time, 9:30, for local standards but several customers at the place already when we arrived. Courteous greeting by ? (Never introduced himself) and very few and always sparse answers to our questions about the menu or wine list. Food excellent and well presented. Service mediocre at best with... More

Don't be let down by the outside: the restaurant is an hidden next to a supermarket and it doesn't look like a michelin-starred restaurant at all. But once inside, everything changes. The gastronomic journey starts with a glass of cava and a house starter, with an extravagant seaweed taste. Then choose from a variety of freshly baked bread, brought to... More
