Great food (don't miss trying the grilled pulpo), warm traditional environment, friendly staff, perfect quality-price balance. Recommended!

We were wandering around looking for a interesting place for a drink and spotted this enchanting place. Wine bottles from all vintages lined every wall and hung from ceiling and our eyes struggled to take it all in and that was even before sampling the wine. The history and character of the place was incredible and despite it being 10pm... More

It is very difficult to rate Bodega Cigalena. On one hand it has an amazing wine (bottle) museum with walls and ceilings decorated by some rare old wines and the food certainly is good. On the other hand it is truly expensive to eat here. I recommend you go for some glasses of wine and admire the bottle collection. This... More

Very good service, with English speaking waiters who were there to help with the menu. BBQd octopus was a highlight on the charcoal fire! Dessert was phenomenal - we had a selection and all were delicious. A couple of vegetarian dishes.

Let me begin by saying that this is the first negative restraunt review I have ever posted. Based on great reviews my wife and I went here for dinner. The prices were extremely high but we figured the quality would justify it. We ordered the chicken and sea bass with a bottle of the house wine. The reviews said the... More

I had the best salad of my life here. I also ate a nice ternera that was perfectly tender. It's really cool to look at all the bottles that surround the walls. I suggest making a reservation. This place gets pretty crowded.

Very special anterior full of bottles of wine. Great selection. Looks like a place that has been there for ages. The food was very tradional with small upgrades that give a twist like the shrimps with the Russian salad, which was very nice. Service was very good. Well recomended

Friendly, warm welcome in a wonderfully rustic setting. Staff extremely accommodating and patient with non-Spanish speaking customers. Food was very tasty, seafood particularly good with many local specialties included on the menu. Would recommend

Lovely jamon and a breath-taking cheeses. The wine was incredible indicated by the waiter. Probably one of the best lunches we've had here in santander! Service amazing and professional as well. (also vegetarian option of amazing vegetables)

From the story of the restaurant itself, to the amazing wine bottles and other related items on display you could amuse yourself here all day. Add to this a good house wine with tasty pinchos and you have a great bar. On the restaurant side, the waiters were very attentive. The kitchen staff were hard working but relaxed and well... More
