I dare to say this restaurant should be one of the best restaurants in Menorca. For the last 3 years had several dinners at this restaurant and enjoyed everything. I think everything you can eat there is fresh and delicious. A must go.

We were recommended this restaurant by one of the regular tourist. We were glad that we dined here one night during the stay. This restuarant is very busy, people queue to get a table for atleast 30-45mins, so do make sure you reserve a table...More

We went to Cafe Balear for lunch, and we arrived a bit earlier than the kitchen opened (it opens at 1pm). As we were the first ones there, the staff was not hurried with us and of course we had our pick of tables. We...More

The restaurant is situated on the waterfront. It is a beautiful location where no traffics of people really pass. The menu mainly comprises seafood. We would recommend anything on the menu; the octopus, or prawns, or the salads or the mixed platter. Between our party...More

Situated away from the main drag of restaurants by the port, this restaurant is frequented by locals. I have eaten there over many years on Menorca visits. It's been a while and, since my last visit a few years ago, the restaurant has had a...More

We were recommended this restaurant by a local and sadly couldn't have been more disappointed. We arrived to see a rather long queue, upon asking the head waiter he told us approximately a half an hour wait (queueing was the only option - they do...More

Description
It was opened in the 70s, as a tavern in the harbour that welcomed seafarers in the early hours of the morning before they went to work. Over 40 years, the family business gains the confidence of its customers and became the meeting place for many, where they could enjoy all kinds of tapas and freshly caught seafood. At the present time Cafè Balear is a highly-regarded Menorcan restaurant and a must visit in the Port of Ciutadella. Here you will find a lively welcoming atmosphere, where you can enjoy dishes based on fish and seafood, freshly caught by our own boat, the Rosa Santa Primera.
