The restaurant has been renovated and remodelled since our last visit a few years ago. It was a lovely day and we sat outside for lunch. The food was as good as ever, the waiters efficient and knowledgable and the prices reasonable for top quality...More

I would highly recommend this restaurant. It was slightly more upmarket than the majority of restaurants in the harbour. The food was superb and cooked to perfection. The service was second to none. We ate quite early - around 8.15-8.30pm so we always got a...More

Came with friends last night. Amazing sea food. Queued for 30 mins for a table but was worth it. Fairly expensive came to 140€ for 4 people. Sirlion steak was out of this world as was the swordfish starter. Was too full for dessert.

I dare to say this restaurant should be one of the best restaurants in Menorca. For the last 3 years had several dinners at this restaurant and enjoyed everything. I think everything you can eat there is fresh and delicious. A must go.

Description
It was opened in the 70s, as a tavern in the harbour that welcomed seafarers in the early hours of the morning before they went to work. Over 40 years, the family business gains the confidence of its customers and became the meeting place for many, where they could enjoy all kinds of tapas and freshly caught seafood. At the present time Cafè Balear is a highly-regarded Menorcan restaurant and a must visit in the Port of Ciutadella. Here you will find a lively welcoming atmosphere, where you can enjoy dishes based on fish and seafood, freshly caught by our own boat, the Rosa Santa Primera.
