We stopped in this little crowded bar in the old town of San Sebastian for pintxos. We had croissant with Spanish ham and croissant with baccala which were nice but nothing exceptional. We also ordered king prawns that came hot with a slice of lemon, and...More
If you walk around in this slightly touristic area, you might not expect this hidden treasure: a small restaurant in the cellar of this very popular pinxto bar. The choice on the menu is limited, but every dish is a pure joy. From the starters...More
This dish might possibly be my favorite dish EVER. Donostia is filled with great food, but it's hard to imagine anything as satisfying as this combination of three different mushrooms and foie topped with an egg.
There is no better pintxo in San Sebastián. I'm serious. Try the Grilled Foie Gras with artichoke. Or the grilled hake jowels. Or the famous mushroom, egg, and foie dish. Try anything. Fresh, exceptionally well prepared, and simply delicious. If you don't eat Ganbara while...More

Never been in this part of Spain and not having experienced the pintxos before. This was a superb experience. You must have the tuna with ansjovis, the egg with calamaris, croquetas jamon and certainly de plato with different mushrooms. Service was excellent and very friendly.
