Very pleasant dining space with high ceilings. They played beautiful oldies! Good service. We selected the Menu, which came with good bread and red wine. Pork cheeks was mediocre, served with quinoa which tasted rather green. The lamb was a generous slow cooked tender portion. The French Toast blew us away!! Despite trying to stay with our healthy philosophy of... More

Wonderful little cafe in the most stunning building in Bilbao. And despite that prime location, we were surprised at the prices. Really reasonable and tasty pintxos, excellent coffee - and just a joy to sit in the sunshine outside the gallery. Wonderful

We had a nice experience but we were expecting a little more ambiance. We were the only locals in the restaurant so all tourists ended their dinners at 22:00. We were the last ones to leave the restaurant almost an hour later. The food was not bad but it was not great either. Overall it was good, but we were... More

Our first day in Bilbao included our visit to the iconic museum, and our last night was a wonderful dinner in the Bistro, also at the Guggenheim. We booked ahead for a window table and the view and ambience were stunning. I think our charming waiter was called Ersu, ( so sorry if this isn't correct, but he's the one... More

If you are visiting Bilbao and particularly the Guggenheim I can recommend eating in this Bistro. The set course lunch was delicious and the staff were helpful friendly and attentive. If you can get a table with a view of the river it is worth it but I thought the whole experience was wonderful and not expensive either. I can... More

Booked lunch for two on a Friday afternoon in February - and not disappointed. We opted for the 3 course menu, a steal at €29 each including a bottle of wine between two, mineral water, olives, bread and petit fours to follow. Excellent value considering the quality. Food was simple but nicely finished. I had the traditional seafood soup, lamb... More

We booked ahead and got a table near the window - try to do this as tables further back didn't look so good. Had the tasting menu- 5 courses for £40 - superb food and very good value for money. We also had the matching wines - 4 glasses each for £8 a person! ...again, very good value and some... More

We grabbed lunch here on our first day, before going into the museum itself. The selection of pixchos is small but they were all modern and light. There is a nice outdoor seating area where you get a view back towards the city centre. Would highly recommend the potato/vegetable skewer!

A very pleasant setting amidst the Guggenheim Museum building. Separate entrance so no need to enter the museum. The wait staff are friendly and attentive without hovering or rushing you yet there when needed. The menu selections are well varied and cooked to perfection. Something for everyone from salads, soups, roasted lamb and hake. There are several other selections but... More

Description
Bistró Guggenheim Bilbao values a free style of cuisine, linked to its roots, to the memory of those dishes that are part of a culture and which need to be adapted to an avant-garde context, without losing neither flavors nor textures. Recipes and sauces are the foundation of our work, though refined, evolved and adapted for the general public that seeks savory, healthy cuisine, and an informal gastronomic experience.
