We wandered into this restaurant after several other recommended restaurants were closed. What drew us was the display of tapas and seafood on the bar. Our waiter was excellent, recommending tasty food and wine. Our lunch included grilled vegetables with Romesco sauce, piquillo peppers stuffed with crab, octopus a la Gallega, grilled shrimp, chipirones (baby squid) with padron peppers, and... More

They refused to entertained us maybe because we are non white. They claimed the restaurant is fully booked but the tables inside were empty. They happily entertained another family who did not make any reservations.

Having been in this restaurant before, but only for having some tapas, we wanted to go there for a meal of shellfish. It was a Sunday evening that was relatively quiet. The service was kind and accommodating. We had several dishes, the mixed gamba grill, cockles, barnacles, squid with pimentos de Padron, knives and I might forget one or to.... More

We dined early (8 PM) and were delighted when many locals joined us immediately after this cozy restaurant opened for business that evening. Tragantua is along a small square Plaza Santa Marta, with a group of tables by this and another restaurant on the square. An entire wall of the dining room was open to the square on this balmy... Very nice and cheap tapas, staff very professional and kind, I would recommend the croqueta with potato and jamon (spanish ham) definitely worth it!

After becoming exasperated with the 'holier-than-thou' attitude of nearby vegetarian restaurants, we noticed this place and decided to take pot luck. It was bustling with animated Spanish - always a good sign -and we knew we could at least get a good salad. Instead of raising their shoulders in desperation at what they consider our restricted diet, the staff rose... More

When the restaurant opened at 20.30 hours it was directly filled with Spanish people. My husband ordered the grilled vegetables and I had 2 of the housemade croquettes. After that we ordered merluza and that was really perfect grilled. It will be our favourite place for the next time

Nice atmosphere and good service. The dishes are good but nothing special. The portion are enormous, impossible to eat three courses. Overall a bit pricy.
