My pregnant wife was refused a bar chair by a strict and irritated employee. The shock made my wife cry :( . Gracias Brunilde, not.

Located near the bullring down a quiet side street, what a nice surprise on entering La Brunilda. Crowded, but friendly, the staff seemed used to shuffling between closely packed tables, were knowledgeable about the dishes and patient with tourists trying to decide what dishes to choose. The food was delicious, the highlight of our visit to Seville.
Food was amazing - very hard to stop ordering. Despite being very busy the service was great. Lots of atmosphere - sort of place you could easily get lost in for the afternoon or evening.
Fantastically popular, this tapas restaurant will give you a real treat. A good selection of excellent tapas and drinks, you will find a queue waiting to get in most days but a quick turn around means you won't wait too long.Friendly staff will ensure you won't be disappointed.Open 1-4 for lunch and from 8.30 at night.
Went there one evening at 10:00 PM and did it want to wait over an hour. Went back the following day and got in at the opening, which was 8:30 PM and the experience started. Food was delicious and they had plenty for gluten free folks too. Extremely reasonable and very nice staff to Americans. Left stuffed and satisfied!
On my first night in Seville, I heard about La Brunilda, and went there for tapas and drinks. Wonderful food, nice atmosphere, not too pricey. Loved it (especially the mushroom risotto), and would go back.
I was excited about this place given the hype and long wait. The tapa del dia - butterfish in mango sauce - was fantastic. However, the grilled pork and grilled squid came out very late, and cold plus leathery. I was hungry and ate them but am kicking myself for not having returned the plates. I could tell the flavors... This place always has a queue outside it and I am not surprised. The tapas are modern but based on traditional Spanish ingredients. Very good value. However the clientele do not have many Spaniards which is a shame. Can recommend the squid and the tuna tapas - simply delicious. Great service too.
Do get there early and join the queue in order to ensure that you get fed! It opens at 8.30. Food is fantastic - we sat at the bar and watched it being prepared - staff remain very focused and provide an excellent service. It serves mainly tourists as it seems to be in every guide book, but deservedly so.... More
