Samarkanda is a small restaurant with really good home made food. We had various Mezze's as well a chicken with rice and it was really delicious. If you see the restaurant first of all you would probably not really decide eating there but we have been positive surprised and would eat there again anytime when back in Granada.

As a Lebanese myself, saying that a Lebanese restaurant is authentic and makes genuine homemade food is not something to be said lightly. But I regularly visit this place, hidden amongst a large number of similar looking tourist traps, to enjoy a truly hearty meal. This feels and tastes exactly like home cooking; generous and full of flavour. An insider's... More

Lured by recommendations of good food we tried to get lunch here. First the grumpy guy wanted us to move to a table with only 2 chairs - we sat at one with 4 in order to catch the only bit of sun. We said we'd move if others came and he needed us to. Then he took our order... More

We have been to Samarkanda Lebanese Restaurant twice now. The food was absolutely wonderful on both occasions - freshly cooked from scratch. The owner is a most attentive host. The Ksara Lebanese wine exceedingly good (the owner prefers the red: we prefer the rose). A really nice, centrally placed (just behind Plaza Nueva) good little restaurant. We will make this... More

A delightfully unpretentious Lebanese restaurant with great vegetarian options. We enjoyed absolutely everything we ordered. Unlike the Moroccan restaurants nearby, both lentil soup and ayran (a traditional yoghurt drink) are on the menu. In general we found it so good and such good value that we ate here twice during our five-day stay in Granada.

Excellent location in the "souk" area of Granada. The service was light on personality, but the food was heavy on flavor .. we enjoyed lunch here after a long morning of touring the Alhambra and would consider returning.

We stumbled on this Lebanese restaurant and boy were we surprised at how delicious everything was. The fattoush salad and shish tawouk, veggie cream soup etc were all absolutely amazing. Family recipes, wife is the chef. Too bad we discovered it so late in our stay. Not far from the Plaza Nueva. Well worth your effort!!

We dined here a couple of nights ago and we had amazing time! The food was simply amazing, the best moroccan/middle east/lebanese we have tried in Granada. The service was very good and food was delicious!!! definitely will recommend this authentic and very cosy restaurant!!

After listening to a local we almost ate at a Moroccan place that was subpar. Thanks to trip advisor we steered clear of the microwaved food. We decided on samananda since there was more good than bad reviews. First let me start on he apps Tabouil was extremely fresh and delicious Hamara was fantastic!!! On to the mains The kofta... More

Delicious set meal of falafel, pita & hummus, stuffed vine leaves and tabbouleh to start followed by lamb kebab with rice. Every mouthful was delicious and the inclusive Lebanese wine was a very pleasant accompaniment. An unexpected extra touch was the complementary coffee offered after the meal. Definitely worth a visit if you a looking for an alternative to traditional... More
