We went there twice with two our almost three-year-old kids. They have a lunch and dinner menu which changes per day (no idea how/if it rotates) at very reasonable prices. We had two three-course menus which was more than enough to feed the four of us.The quality of the food was good, the people were friendly, they even brought out... More

Nice to find an excellent vegetarian restaurant in Spain, a minimal menu but lovely food with friendly staff in the historic centre of Malaga but well worth the effort to find.

This restaurant is excellent value - you get a three course set menu - starter, main and pud. There are 3 or 4 choices under each heading and the menu for each day is on a board outside so you can decide if it's for you. I really enjoyed all my meal but my other half found the mediterranean pasta... More

Food was presentable but lacked flavour. Staff were friendly enough but over stretched as forgot certain orders and some delays in receiving certain things. Pasta was overcooked. Will not be returning

The service was quite good, and we did not have to wait much for the food! We had a soup and some chick peas stew to start with which was delicious but our second course which was pasta with pesto was very poor. The pasta was overcooked, loaded with oil and tasteless.

El Calafate offers a set menu for a reasonable price. There is also wine available. What I had (migas) wasn't particularly tasty or good but the place was packed and the staff very friendly and quick so it might have been my choice rather than the overall quality of the food. The restaurant is located in a narrow street of... More

Malaga is not an easy city for the vegetarian, most tapas places and restaurants have very few veggie options. However there are a handful of vegetarian restaurants and El Calafate is the best one that we've tried. It's tucked away down an alley but persevere with finding the place as it's great. The food was excellent and ridiculously good value,... More

It's been difficult to find quality vegetarian food in Spain so I was very pleased to come across El Calafate. We came in around 17.00 which is way after lunch but the kitchen seems to be open all day. They have a reasonably priced menu of the day (9,70€ without drinks) that has a variety if choices, some vegan. I... More

We were having a few days in Malaga Centro after the stress of Christmas. The weather was good and one lunch time we decided to go back to an old favourite where we had enjoyed quite a few lunches over the years. The restaurant is fairly small and compact. The menu is vegetarian, and small but adequate. Three courses with... More
