Actually this restaurant was a great surprise, not expected to find an “ancient” traditional restaurant in the middle of Dresden. • All traditional furniture – large tables (often need to sit with others in the traditional way), Stammtisch, 1950’s black and white TV running old movies (without sound so not annoying). The only thing out of place was the computerised... More

街外れのホテル前にあったレストランに立ち寄りましたが、思いがけずすてきなレストランでした。料金も安くてオススメです。 We stumbled on a nice restaurant, astonished wonderful cuisine and good price!! Highly recommended.

We had dinner in this restaurant during our first day of stay in Dresden Cotta when we didn't know the area at all. The food was good but may be too heavy for me personally and my 9-year old daughter but at least that was what one can expect from that sort of restaurant. The interior with a lot of... More

Perhaps not surprisingly bearing in mind the name, the decor and setting reflected the early 20th century. However I would have expected that the food would be a little more inventive. The four of us had a selection of the specials, The meat ball in particular was pretty tasteless and the dumplings stodgy. Whilst this is meant to represent the... More

I ate with my wife in the restaurant during a two day trip in Dresden. Eating there is like being plunged straighth in the yearly years of 1900.. TV , other electronic appliances and all the furnitures are coming directly from those years and the music you hear as well. Coming to the food, I took the gulash that I... More

After reading the excellent reviews at tripadvisor we decided to give it a go. I have to say I love German food and therefor I thought I would find this place great. But unfortunately the food was quite average. It's possible to eat outside. That was nice.

What a great restaurant, if u had a german grandma this would be her house and she now serves the neighborhood. Very busy u must make a reservation to get into this place and seating is limited, don't let the outside full you. Great food, friendly staff, there is a tall guy I forget his name but very friendly. You... More

My family and I ate here after a long trip and it was very fulfilling. They serve great bohemian food for a good value. The staff were more than helpful as they could speak English very well. Again, the food is very hearty and comes in large portions so make sure you bring your appetite!!!

We were attracted by the lovely beer garden and were glad we found this place. The food was very good and accompanied the beer nicely. The staff warmed up as we stayed and we even had a nice conversation about Utah before leaving. Definitely a highlight of our Dresden stay.

A nice little place, obviously a neighborhood joint, overstuffed couches and chairs in the main dining room, a pleasant outside garden area. Comfort food, not fancy, just solid and good and at lower prices than what you find in the center of the city. Great if you are staying nearby but I would not bother to take public transit all...
