We were a group of friends on a busy night (looks like every day there). Getting the staff’s attention was nearly impossible, including actively being ignored by a waiter who turned her head when she saw us. Vegetarians — if you don’t eat chicken, you...More

This place had a nice biergarten with the view of the river. It's out of the way and worth the experience. Really great beer selection, all of them were unfiltered. With that said, the service is slow and borderline rude. The food was decent, nothing...More

I had a pint of the local brew, which wasnt that nice but that was a personal preference rather than anything wrong with the beer. Also had some goulash which was lovely. Great views of the city and the elbe, well worth the walk out...More

Great German bar/restaurant with a real buzz about the place which was full of locals rather than tourists. Food and service were good, reasonable value. Nice atmosphere loads of choice. Really good

Local friends of ours took us to Watzke for an evening at somewhere with a genuine, old German feel and without the hoards of tourists at places in the inner city. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was great. The menu has...More

We had visited this brauerei many years ago. My husband found his way there unerringly and was not disappointed. The beer was as good as he remembered. The premises have had a makeover since we were last there but are still typical of a German...More

Description
Welcome to Ball-& Brauhaus Watzke Dresden. The Watzke is an event location with lots of charm, heartiness and a tradition of almost 120 years. Enjoy Dresden's very first unstrained locally hand-crafted beer right where it is brewed. You just decide where you want to enjoy it: in the beer garden with its Canaletto-view, in the rustic restaurant next to the wort kettles or at an event in the historic ballroom. Our historic building can accomodate any event. Smaller groups fit perfectly in our Elbzimmer with its wonderful view towards Dresden's old town. Gala evenings, dinners and company events up to 500 attendants can be hosted in the historic ballroom. Also concerts and performances happen here on a regular basis. Those who care for a closer look behind the scenes of our house-brewery should reserve a guided tour with our master brewer. The parking lot on our own premises fit up to 70 cars or 5 coaches and are free of charge for our guests. We are open everyday of the week from 11:00 till midnight and are looking forward to welcoming you.
