Sadly, not a great experience for us: the sauce for the jagerschnitzel was way too salty and while the pasta was not bad, the creamy sauce tasted exactly like it does when you make it at home from a packet.

After searching for a decent German restaurant, we ended up here. Very friendly waiter and good German food. We had a lovely evening!
Where the locals come. Good beer and German food. Snitznel and Alt beer. Busy during the week and weekends
Ok food, but in very touristic neighbourhood. Very good grilled feta, and average mixed grill spies (lots of meat) with fries that were not so nice, and no lettuce, Made reservation more than two weeks in advance and they wanted to put us in a...small and dark sideplace on a sunny evening. After some complaining we got a terrace table.More
The food tastes good, the service is really friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The only negative thing is that the restaurant is not really welcoming for foreigners (we felt that we don't really belong) and the toilets are a bit dirty. Still, would go...back anytime for a good meal.More
As usual, a TripAdvisor find. It was early doors and very quiet. We chose from the day menu. Schnitzels. The food and beer were excellent. Service good and great value for money. Highly recommended!
We stopped in for Biers as it started to rain outside and ended up staying for a few hours and having dinner too. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the staff attentive and approachable, even phoning a taxi for us at the end of...our evening. I enjoyed a delicious schnitzel while my companion had a vegetarian item which he was pretty pleased with. The decor is a bit all over the place and the bathrooms are a bit tired but all in all we liked it! We’d definitely stop in if we found ourselves in Trier again.More
On a day of 41 degrees we had a lunch outside right here. And we enjoyed it. Service and food were very good. I personally had the Fitness Salat (€12,90) and can recommend it!
Meh. Keep walking. While darling wife loved her Greek salad meal, and the Altbier was tasty, the chicken schnitzel, fries, salad was „edible“. The service was slow yet semi friendly. Seriously. How does one make a meh Schnitzel in Germany? Keep walking. Actually, try Wirsthaus...across the street.More
I rarely write a bad review, but this place was just a complete waste of resources. Service was minimal- we had to call the waitress away from her real interest, her phone, several times, despite only one other couple in the restaurant. As inept as...the service was, the food was worse. Based on another reviewer, I had the pork Madeira, which was tough and dry (the tiny amount of spinach it was stuffed with was the best thing on the plate), the sauce was practically flavorless except for the oddly sweet mushrooms. The salad was at least fresh lettuce, with a few very strong slices of onions on top. I asked for dressing on the side, and it was ok, but with no discernible flavor. Pommes frites were definitely from a bag. My husband started with mushroom soup- most certainly from a can, overly thinned, with a packaged breadstick crumbled on top. Next, he had the beef goulash with spaetzle- overcooked, dry meat smothered in what tasted like jarred sauce with prepackaged spaetzle. We shared an obviously prepackaged creme brûlée. Including 2 cocktails and a bottle of water, E 70. What a waste!! Go to the pommes frites stand nearby, or the place right across the street, where we had lunch (and regretted not returning to) for a much better meal, service and value.More
There weren’t many places open so we’re relieved to get a table at this restaurant which has many little alcoves so you have the sensation of being almost alone. We started with excellent dry Reisling and then both chose the pork fillet in Madeira sauce...which was superb. The service was proficient and unobtrusiveMore
A group of 7 friends looking for somewhere to eat all agreed that this looked like a good place to stop. Sitting outside gave us the chance to watch the world go by whilst drinking a beer and waiting for our food. The food was...tasty, most people had the schnitzel in one sauce or another, but a couple had a kebab and I had fish. All plates were empty when we finished. The staff were friendly, they had menus in various languages on hand, the restaurant was clean, and we all agreed that we would go back if we ever found ourselves in Trier again.More
This place looks a really nice place to sit and eat and watch the world go by. One of the waiters was ok but the others were equite off hand and the service over all was bad. However, what really let it down was the...food. Pfefferlingesuppe that was like water at over 5 Euros was definitely a no no. As to the Veal Schnitzel, it was not fresh and was obviously frozen at a price that you would expect it to be homemade. The accompanying bratkartofel were limp and again obviously frozen and shown the microwave. I would definitely not eat here again and think that 50 Euros for what we had was very steep, if it had been 20, I still don't think I would have been impressed. Keep your money and find somewhere that actually cooks good quality German food.More
Situated down a little street, perfect for watching the world go by, and the Rump steak was beautiful, and cooked just how I like it.
We found it a bit of a tourist trap - but only a bit. Food was average - just ok. Service also ok - but not more. Prices were a notch too high.
