About
Small intimate, authentic tapas bar/restaurant in a little old mission hall at the harbour front in Scrabster. Delicious small plates and vibrant paella dishes make this a new hot destination on the NC500. Have a glass of Spanish wine or why not take your time and share a bottle. As in Spain, there is no rush.

After trying in vain to find somewhere really nice for a 70th birthday meal around Thurso we found this little gem in Scrabster. The food was delicious and tasty we were so full we had no room for my desired churros but we’re extremely satisfied with...the 6 wonderful tapas we consumed. The atmosphere was delightful and even though we had not booked the staff were extremely helpful to fit us in. Regardless of the birthday having been long gone( well a few days past) this made up for all the previous disappointing meals in Thurso.More

Came with family who insist on eating here every time they come to stay. Sat in the new heated outside area which has been enclosed and loved it. Food as amazing as ever and so reasonably priced for the quality and amounts received. Desserts were...amazing and the choice was huge! We will definitely be back, guaranteed!More

Had a fantastic lunch here because the captain's galley was closed. Excellent selection of tapas, especially seafood. The scallops were out of this world!!! Wine was cold and bill less than we expected.

We visited here when you north on holiday as it had amazing reviews online. We ordered three dishes each and a jug of sangria. I ordered the aubergine dish and it was swimming in oil, so greasy I couldn’t even eat it! The Patatas bravas...were obviously frozen and the baked goats cheese was nice but it wasn’t served with anything, just a piece of goats cheese in a dish! The calamari was alright but it wasn’t served with a sauce on the side, we had to order a dip separately. I ordered the chocolate brownie for dessert and it seemed like it was heated in the microwave as it was cold in the middle and chewy round the edges. Overall the meal was very average, not terrible but I wouldn’t visit again based on this experienceMore

In Spanish Capilla means "chapel" which is fitting as Capilla is in a small old chapel looking out to the Scrabster harbour. This is a cosy and friendly restaurant serving the best tapas we have eaten in Scotland. Service is friendly and efficient, food was...delicious. A good selection of dishes and wines all very Spanish. A real hidden gem.More

Lovely tapas restaurant tucked away in Scrabster harbour. The food was very nice and there was a good variety. The only slight let down was the chicken with honey was a bit dry, smaller strips might have been better as the pieces were very big.. They...do however serve a delicious Cava which made a change from the ubiquitous Procceco. We would most certainly return if we were in the area and will recommend this restaurant to friends.More

Excellent selection of tapas, freshly cooked, very reasonably priced. Found nowhere to eat in Thurso, so drove out to Scrabster and were very glad we did, Would definitely recommend this place.

Outstanding ... the food, the service, the great value. Ignore the industrial setting opposite, everything about this place is sublime. Beyond words ... just go!

My husband and I had a lovely lunch here when staying in the area. As the sun was shining we sat outside and my husband enjoyed a glass of red wine (I was driving) with a good selection of tapas. Food and service were very...good.More
