We had a few drinks in here one evening and ate in here on another evening. I know that's shameful as we were in Germany, but it was close to our hotel and was very reasonable.

To be honest we would rather have had a beer or two in a German pub, (when in Rome and all that...) but there simply weren't any around that were open in the evening. That said, it's a nice place, the (mostly) Irish staff are friendly and helpful, the beer prices are reasonable, and they had the darts on the... More

After spending a month travelling around Germany, there is only so much pork, potato and cheese you can eat, so it was great to have a decent pub meal! Quant little venue with a good selection of European drinks on offer, impressive meals and decent prices.

Fantastic food and the staff went out of their way to help, advise and serve. Friends remarked that it was unlike other 'Irish' bars as there were no plastic leprechauns just a true Irish welcome.

This is easy to find on the main carrageway in Mitte. The staff are very helpfull and knowledgeable, wide variety of drinks and some well cooked typical german food. For the sports fans there are plenty of tv screens to watch football. Well worth a vist

Came here because it was close to our hotel. Staff were really pleasant and friendly. Food was alright and portions were pretty big. It had a nice calm atmosphere and we didn't feel rushed. Would have returned.

Quite often an Irish pub in a major European city doesn't quite hit the mark. I was pleasantly surprised that this did. We found this after walking back from at trip to Gendarmenmarkt, the staff were very helpful and the beer was good. We revisited for evening meal as it was once again on our route back to the hotel... More

Nothing special about this place, and not really a typical Irish pub. Atmosphere not great and service just average. If you want a beer then its OK but I probably wouldn't stay for two. Never ate here.

Thank Keith F

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
