The service was deplorable. I have the celiac disease and received no concern about serving a gluten free dish. When I asked an advice, the answer was "we don't have anything gluten free". Really?! So salad aren't gluten free ?! Talking about salad, if you like greens, you will be served as it is basically the only thing you will... More

We visited first for brunch, and we did receive not only generous amounts of food, but also good quality. Nothing special, just regular breakfast stuff. But LOADS of it. Nice touch is the design. Staff was helpful and nice, even tough the place was packed, they tried to do their best to give proper service to everyone. A few days... More

Breakfast/brunch for two: 20,40€ It is quite cheap and they serve generous plates of food. I thought it was average quality though, not special, nor original, but coffee and juice were ok. The place is basic, cosy, the staff is nice. This bar was next to our b&b which was a convenient choice more than a not miss on our... More

Went in with a pal for a couple of glasses of lager but finding the drink & surroundings to be very pleasant , we both had burgers & chips. Both meals freshly cooked and very enjoyable. Seats outside too . Staff efficient & helpful. Carpets could do with freshening up

This address was given to us by our host and it was simply the best brunch in town. The food is excellent, cheap and the atmosphere very cosy : definitely worth the trip!

Couldn't get a table on Saturday morning, they were fully reserved! Turns out you can book online or via phone! Food looked very good and menu good value. Now on our must do list for next time we visit Berlin!

Although I am not a frequent visitor of this place, it is well-worth brunching there with friends (less so with family members). The quality of meals is above average for money and the location comfy (one can sit outside and enjoy Kreuzberg at day or night time). Waiting time is acceptable, personnel friendly and though at time extremely busy. Once... More

The food is good, the prices are reasonable, the seating is a bit cramped and the service is a bit disinterested. You will not be disappointed but also not overwhelmed either.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
