We had dinner at Edd's. It wasn't my first choice, but only one of the restaurants which were open on a Sunday night. The food was really good, we had meat dumplings, the non spicy duck with vegetables and a chicken meal. All very good. Only issue was the service, pretty unfriendly. Our German isn't perfect, but we tried hard,... More

Wonderful and reasonably priced meal. Flavourful, fresh, spicy, and fragrant. First rate Tom Yam soup, spring rolls, mouthwatering chicken curry, duck that melted in the mouth. Service perfect, slightly unprepossessing exterior conceals a jewel!

The food here was better than anything I ever had in Thailand! The family-owned restaurant is run by Thai people who are friendly and helpful. Many famous people eat here. Make reservations early. Food is spicy and amazing!

very special and tasty and something special, not just one more restaurant. We all shared different meals and the service was very good as well. You feel they have the experience to make a special event from a dinner. From outside you would not expect such a place.

This is without a doubt the best thai food restaurant in Berlin (I have been to the higher ranked tripadvisor Thai restaurants but there is no competition). If you love Thai food there is no better choice than this restaurant and the food is worth every penny. Try the kanum jib for starters and the redfish with tamarind sauce for... More

Loved the banana blossom salad! Could've been a bit spicier for an authentic Thai, but maybe that's because I'm a bit hardcore. Duck is very good there, also their squid is just amazingly tender and fresh. Shrimps are good, not the best ones I've ever had, but very fresh, with a little bit of crunch. Their coconut milk sauces always... More

About to head home from conference. One last lunch with colleagues. We were staying at Esplanade so chose Edd's as was within reasonable walking distance. Good for lunch. Very nice Thai dumplings, acceptable chicken/coconut milk soup. Very good red curry with chicken. All in all a refreshing change from the heavier German fare we had most of the week. It's... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
