I ate here with 5 girlfriends on a Saturday evening for our friend's 30th birthday. The atmosphere was great, especially as we were hiding from the rain, and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. Lavinia was particularly kind, helping us to arrange ourselves in one corner of the restaurant to take some group pictures at the end of the... More

We got the reccommendation of a friend and went on a Sunday night to try it out. We booked a table for 8 people but the first person who arrived got sat on a table for four. As more people arrived we could sort out the table problem. Throughout the night we had several little issues with the service, which... More

We took the bright choice of all small plates and it was delightful! It just took a little time as they wanted to serve all of us at the same time (we were about 16!) but once they started it was like a firework. Fine cuisine and we had a very good red wine.

Thank Anne-Marie C

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
