Cool atmosphere and best hamburger in town. It is not an expensive place. You will sit on the pipes and enjoy your hamburger at the top.

The best hamburger of my life. Definitely go for the Special house burger! The staff is great, the service is fast and awesome. The German beer is also very good! I went there walking and it was worth it!!

Walked into the indoor Burgrmeister just off the U-Bahn station with my brother. Very cool indeed, music was James Brown, burgers were delicious, and great vibes in the place throughout. Some of the 'seats' on certain tables are RAILS (to rest against) so I would recommend getting there early. That's if you want comfier booth style seats if you're planning... More

It's on the other side of the East side gallery and below Rails, it is so crowded that you have to wait in the queue and after the queue you have to wait the food to be prepared and with a coupon you take it when it's ready, don't visit it if you have things to do later in this... More

Went after the ice hockey last night. €19 for chilli cheese fries, cheese and bacon fries, 2 burgers. Great value for money, and incredible taste!! A real little diamond in the rough, and gives you a nice wee feel of the city out with the tourist side. Staff were nice, and really efficient for It being so busy. Had to... More

It was one of the best burger I have ever eaten!! The staff is great, price is awesome. It is really close to East Side Gallery, so it is a good idea to eat there before or after your visit.

Delicious burgers, we thought it was more like a restaurant, but there are no seats available (in Winter). Fries were too salty, thank God they sell beer as well!

We came around 7pm and didn’t have to wait long for a burger. Loved the chilli cheese fries! It tasted like melted McDonalds cheese on fries yum! We got a meisterburger (€3.90) and a meister aller klassen burger (€5.90). They were decent, but don’t expect a gourmet burger, it tastes more like street food. There are a few tables outside... Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
